First Greenline Trolley May 14 2022 Saturday ....traveled the length from East Somerville Station to Medford Tufts

The MBTA GLX Project reached an historic milestone today, Saturday, May 14, 2022.

 

The first Green Line trolley traveled the length of the Medford Branch from East Somerville Station to the Medford/Tufts Station, which is located at the Tufts University campus.

 

This first Green Line Trolley is part of the phase-I of Light Rail Vehicle testing. The Light Rail Vehicle Intermittent Testing will continue for the next several months.

 

The MBTA is targeting late summer 2022 to begin revenue service.
