Protecting the Public Should Be Paramount especially during COVID-19.
MBTA Attorney Julie Ciollo was up against the wall on this one, yet another bad driving incident by an unscrupulous woman riding roughshod through the Meadow Glen Mall parking lot, intentionally skipping a stop, driving in the oncoming traffic lane, screaming at a senior citizen flagging down the bus...makes ya think she's the daughter of a former Medford chief of police or something.* (we'll get to the Joe Sacco, MBTA employee story in this essay, but you already knew that!)
OF COURSE THEY DON'T WANT TO HAND OVER THE TAPES.

Ciollo, reading this publication and my determination that the MBTA attorney is "loony" - she being a public figure, mind you, has a little problem. And that problem for Julie Julie is called the First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution!
Julie Julie goes on a nutty falsely claiming "harassment" (the wolf in the hen house saying one of the roosters or hens is harassing her! Perhaps hens and roosters don't like getting eaten by hungry wolves!) - Ciollo claims being called "loony" is harassment. Meanwhile she has a dangerous driver on the road, driver #73274, who obstructed traffic, harassed riders on the bus by opening the doors in the freezing February cold, and ask any car stuck on Locust Street because another MBTA driver couldn't be trusted to drive a vehicle.

With texting drivers and passengers at their mercy, it isn't shocking that the slimy reputation of the MBTA is again off the rails, but Ciollo's actions are, in the opinion of this humble and popular reporter, unhinged at best and a serious threat to public safety.
So when loony Julie didn't like being called what I believe she is - loony - she said she can't hand over the tapes of wrongful conduct because she projects that I want to make a profit on the tapes.
Trust us, Attorney Ciollo, the crazed driver #73274 is not going to win an Oscar, she is not going to be ridiculed, she is not going to be harassed by this publication - she's going to be EXPOSED as a MENACE TO PUBLIC SAFETY.
Then driver #73274 can be fired by the MBTA and investigated by law enforcement for flipping out because a kindly old senior citizen - oh my God - asked her for her badge number.
Why the MBTA isn't working WITH the victim of #73274's ultra-bad behavior says more about the MBTA than it does about just another irresponsible driver with so many lives in their hands...and with no thought of my personal safety and the safety of others.

Back in 2002 I took a bus to New York City (used to drive, am more comfortable taking the train) and it might've been Fung Wah or Peter Pan, I cannot recall.
It was a dark and stormy night...seriously, it was...and the driver was beyond reckless. Honest to God I am still amazed eighteen years after that "I will never go Fung Wah again" moment that I'm still breathing and able to write this to you!
It was a driver defying the law of physics. Or in the case of THAT driver, the laws of physics because she absolutely was utilizing multiple laws to miss not spinning out of control and killing all of us.
(I was returning from videotaping the great David Pomeranz who wrote Barry Manilow hit records! A reporter friend of mine, now in Canada, was there that night, so the concert was as memorable as the loony bus driver's idea of safe driving!)

On Friday, U.S. District Judge James Selna said Avenatti may stay at the home of Jay Mannheimer, near Venice Beach, during the 90-day release period but he first must get tested for the coronavirus illness and be quarantined for 14 days at a Federal Bureau of Prisons facility. He must also post $1-million bond and wear an electronic monitoring bracelet. The judge forbade Avenatti to use any digital devices with internet access.

Ciollo's immature behavior is so egregious - libelous attacks in e mail to the Secretary of State's office, egregious and childish, my first thought is to call children's services on her...for an evaluation of the attorney!
