RE: isopropyl alcohol on public microphone at council
Dear Council President and Mayor:
The city council public microphone was in wide use on Tuesday night during a pandemic.
As
a proactive former station manager at AM 1570 and AM 1670 I would wipe a
public microphone after each speaker by using the advice Apple
recommends, as posted in the New York Times.
"A
gentle wipe with a product that has 70 percent isopropyl alcohol will
do just fine. Apple recommends Clorox, and the C.D.C. says household
disinfectants registered by the Environmental Protection Agency are

The
Medford Community Media station manager was present, yet he didn't make
any announcement or offer Clorox or isopropyl alcohol to keep the
microphone clean. A great concern was some of those coming up to the
podium repeatedly were way too close to the microphone. You can hear it
in the distortion of the playback.
As
a speaker it was not my place to wipe the microphone after each person,
and as a recording artist (Flamingo/Carrere, Paris; New Rose/Musidisc,
Paris) with much experience (5 decades) I knew enough to stand back from
the mic.
While a
pandemic is creating a path of destruction around the world, the city
council spent most of the night discussing changing council rules that
appear to be for the sole purpose of chilling as much speech as
possible.
When Adam
Knight violated the rules the council president refused to do his job
and reprimand Councilor Knight. When rules are not obeyed by those in
local government the public has less trust.
The
public trust was violated by Adam Knight during a pandemic. Usually
the council does nothing to correct the fracturing of the system.
As
Knight violated rules during a crisis, and the person violating the
rules is attempting to set new rules, we have a clear conflict of
interest by an undisciplined individual, Adam Knight.
Mayor Lungo-Koehn has called for integrity. How can Breanna say that with a straight face as Knight perpetually goes rogue?
The
definition of integrity is in direct conflict with the actions of Adam
Knight. "1.the quality of being honest and having strong moral
principles; moral uprightness" is laughable when Knight's actions - on
tape - disrespect those addressing "the people's forum."
Many
people are upset that the unity promised on the campaign trail: "1.the
state of being united or joined as a whole" is currently an illusion and
hardly the reality.

Marks says there is one staffer at the TV station. Why are the names
for Videographers John McLaughlin Rick Cormio listed on the city council
page of the city website? http://www.medfordma.org/city-council-2/ And if there's only one staffer at MCM TV3, why was he at the city council?
Knight
is attempting to make the rules while he is breaking the rules. No
logic. Mr. Falco didn't intercede and bang the gavel and
Patrick Gordon was not wiping the microphone with alcohol after every speaker. Zac Bears wasn't abiding by his oath of office
vis-a-vis
shutting down free speech, and the Comcast and Verizon contracts call
for no censorship, yet Knight was censoring, in concert with Bears,
making a fool of himself by causing a ruckus and yelling during the
meeting, and our mayor has called for unity, transparency, intergrity
and community. What Knight, Bears and others did by their actions is in
direct conflict with Mayor Lungo-Koehn's promises.
We
have a pandemic, and dirty, filthy microphones that no one is washing, a
specific metaphor for the dirty way Adam Knight conducts city business.
It
took me years to remove TV3; it took me two weeks to remove the
then-mayor's uncle from the Housing Authority, it took me a simple
"objection" and mere seconds to remove Mark E. Rumley from a witness
stand. Adam Knight thinks he's "on a roll?" and unprofessionally
snorts like a donkey into the microphone. Watch the video, it's
disgusting. Adam Knight is delusional.
The time it is taking me to get solid results, however, which benefit the public. That time is getting far more efficient.

Marks was correct again when he told me Knight said "Fxxxxng Joe Vig's
blog got rid of the mayor" (what a mouth on Adam.)
Marks told me he responded "Yes, and now he has set his sights on you."
Truer
words were never spoken. And this elder person has become quite
efficient at prying the L'Italien report from Mark Rumley's unclean
hands. Adam Knight did this to himself. For the sake of the
community I have the ear of government officials outside of Medford.
My goal is now: the removal of Adam Knight from the City Council of Medford.
Erin
DiBenedetto, Natalie Breen, Jean Nuzzo are people with higher standards
and have sincere care for the community.
The council will improve when I get the government to remove Adam Knight for dereliction of duty, violation of the rules and other things I am not yet at liberty to disclose.
