Medford Parks & Open Space Project Updates
by Jackie Piques

With feedback from more than 50 community members at a February 17th public meeting, upgrades at many of the City’s open space projects will proceed throughout 2021.

At a virtual and live-streamed community meeting on Wednesday, February 17th, the City’s Office of Community Development, Recreation Department, and Parks Division, joined by Mayor Breanna Lungo-Koehn, provided updates on recent, ongoing, and upcoming projects at 17 parks and open space locations throughout the City. City staff collected more than 150 comments and additional input from nearly 60 residents in attendance which will be used in further discussions for upcoming projects. The slide deck with updates and information, as well as a link to the meeting video are available for review at www.medfordma.org/departments/community-development.

You can also watch the video directly by clicking here.

Brief updates of these projects are listed below, and residents are encouraged to stay informed by signing up for the City’s Go Green Medford newsletter at http://gogreenmedford.org. We welcome feedback and recommendations at any time to the Office of Community Development via email at ocd@meford-ma.gov or phone at 781-393-2480.
