Since "candidate," and I use the term loosely, Geoff Diehl invaded our page, let's have an update on his lunacy. Geoff Diehl sounds as nutty as my old pal Jimmy Lyons (from St. Agnes, Arlington back in the 1960s)...ha ha...a "red wave" is coming across Massachusetts. Maybe in sunburns but certainly not in politics. "Doughty, a Wrentham businessman who’s been trailing in the polls against Diehl, was on the offensive during the first GOP primary gubernatorial debate — saying it’d be “impossible” for Diehl to beat Attorney General Maura Healey in a general election.
Diehl, a former state representative who won the party’s nomination at the convention, countered by saying a “red wave” is coming across the state and a vote for Doughty “is going to be a vote for the next Democrat.” Diehl has a better chance shoveling sand against the tide at Revere Beach than going up against Maura Healey.
