Gaming Commission to Meet February 28, Monday 11:30 am to 1 pm to Discuss Proposed Entertainment Venue at Encore Casino

On Monday, February 28th, the MA Gaming Commission will hear public input regarding a proposed entertainment venue across the street from the current Encore Casino. Because this venue would have potential impacts to Medford's Chevalier Theatre, the City of Medford is making the community aware of this public hearing.

The proposed project is a multi-use development, which includes the construction of an approximately 20,000-gross-square-foot, two-story restaurant/retail building with an outdoor dining terrace, up to a 999-seat Events Center and associated pre-function space, an approximately 2,310-space parking garage, as well as a pedestrian bridge to cross Broadway (Route 99). The developer’s presentation and legal analysis is posted for viewing on the Commission’s website here and here.
