What is Life George Harrison An Editorial by Joe Viglione

This songwriter / critic / TV host had the HONOR of working on a George Harrison recording with Alvin Lee (one of my favorite artists) back in 1992, "Real Life Blues" off the classic ZOOM CD.

(and I slammed with work today, but when I get inspired I just have to write...)  ....

Being sixteen years of age in 1970, to say the album was a major influence is an understatement.

To have Alvin tell me the 1992 Boston promotion was the best stop on the tour (it was; but it was great to hear it from Ten Years After founder/vocalist himself) ...we went Top 25 in Billboard's regional chart in the Boston Globe because of my promotional skills (and many, many hours ...)

The thing about Harrison's magical song is the elaborate band he put together for All Things Must Pass, a masterful album that was as much a Beatles album as any of the solo efforts by McCartney, Starr and Lennon.   Interesting that ALL the first solo albums from the Fab 4 have the closest elements to what the Beatles were as a team.  You could, conceivably, create an album Instant Karma with the hits each Beatle had and it would, indeed, be the lost "beatles" album staring you in the face.    "What is Life," the 2nd Top 10 hit from All Things Must Pass could also be its title track

Since we're going into the studio soon for my new album (taken about 3 years to produce this masterpiece....it is the lengthy of Stevie Wonder's Songs in the Key of Life....)  If Caraviello has me assassinated it will probably go to the top of the charts like Otis Redding and Janis Joplin ....ha....

more soon....work to do this Saturday, resurrection indeed  April 16 2022   12:11 pm
