How does the allegedly drunk patriarch feel when the mayor's maiden name identifies the family more than the family's last name?

According to the Boston Globe, about 600 counter-protesters met an estimated 200 marchers when the parade reached City Hall Plaza, where police barricades prevented protesters from accessing a concert stage where the Straight Pride rally was held.

The event featured floats and signs expressing messages of support for President Donald Trump such as “2020 Trump” and “Build The Wall.”

Ostensibly upset that city officials were protecting the marchers and permitting the parade, some protesters reportedly turned their anger towards the police towards end of the rally, prompting scuffles, arrests and the use of pepper spray.

Oh I had so much fun on Nantasket Beach

The open double life...Present and Past...

What a delightful way to close out August. Taking photos, writing poetry, going back into my old world with dear friends that have been with me for decades juxtaposed alongside my new world, it's truly like switching channels. This gig we kept "low key," and the old Count traveled on the clouds against a pink gold sky. The ride to Nantasket such a hike (it's easier to go to Salisbury Beach or Hampton, even though the mileage seems longer) it was an intentional solo journey from my new world back to my old world. And it was so much fun.

There was no disrespect, anyone from my day to day 2019 life surely would have been welcome to attend...I just didn't push the show, a kind of meditative spirit heading back to Hull for the 7th year in a row, emerging from Kansas and landing back in Oz. The status as rock and roll legend intact I didn't have to pull a "Ric Ocasek" of the Cars and play the part. Kids in 2019 wouldn't know Mr. Ocasek (nee Otcasek, dropping the t for his stardom quest...)if they bumped into him. Nor would the new artists even know me if not for my status of nightclub publicist...

But there were people from back in the day rocking out, and the promoter came up while the applause was happening and told us to do an encore. So there we were...I'm saying "Sister Ray..." the band members are contemplating "Walk on the Wild Side" and "Hangin' Round," all Lou Reed material. Funny thing, we only did a couple of Lou tunes in the set, the rest of the material was mine, a switch from previous years. But the new rhythm section and key fellows from my 90s bands (as well as someone from my 70s band, of course) have been digging into my old catalog. It's been a treasure to sing the old compositions again.

It was a perfect beach night down in the world where the Kingsmen (Louie Louie) and other famed groups played other venues long gone...indeed, Nantasket Beach is NOT the Nantasket of the 1960s...like Revere Beach it has all changed and you know more condos are coming quicker than Mayor McGlynn can snap his fingers and say "abracadabra."

The sky was accelerating, from ominous to splashy pastels, what a rock and roll genius paints on the stellar canvas. I didn't want to practice for the gig...how many thousands of nights practicing, how many shows over the past forty-eight or so years...but we practiced, and the show was momentous, much better than the one 90 days ago at the Middle East on June 1. That show was ok, but this had verve and intensity.

So the encore...what band throws songs around onstage to figure out the encore? Now "Sister Ray" would have been for me...I just love playing and singing that song, but when I asked the audience to choose between "Sweet Jane" and "Sister Ray," they chose "Sweet Jane."

Give the people what they want. So the performer's hat went back on and we performed Lou Reed's true nugget, a song that is bigger than his hit recordings ("Wild Side," "Love You Suzanne," "Dirty Boulevard," etc.) ...interesting that Lou's hit records remain with his fans, but "Sweet Jane" is probably larger than Wild Side, despite the motorcycle advertisement and Marky Mark and his Funky Bunch covering it. "Sweet Jane" is the staple, currently being performed by our friends in Mott the Hoople as that tour is continuing. All due respect to Ian and Steve and the gang in Mott, our band was playing "Sweet Jane" before Mott the Hoople put it on their All the Young Dudes lp. Probably because we didn't know how to play anything else...except "Sister Ray" which has less chords!

The sky was in transition. The guitarists were coming up with some creative juice for the solos in Sweet Jane, doing Hunter and Wagner proud, the two guitarists who sent the song into the stratosphere off of Rock 'n' Roll Animal back in the day. We delivered a professional show...Sweet Jane wasn't even played in practice...which proves my point. Keep it fresh...don't beat songs into the ground in preparation for a show when you've performed them for close to half a century....

It was my night at the beach...the rock star coming out of retirement and taking the stage by storm...

One side of me would like to get back out on the road and do this full time - as one of Lou's original bandmembers said, we do Lou Reed better than all the others out there attempting to capture the magic that we have... probably some very good money in it.

The other side of me likes to savor the rare gig or two...come out - be dazzling...and go back to my other life traveling in and out of worlds like a space alien on his super conductor...

When it came time for "Foggy Notion," the Velvet Underground song off of my first lp (the Velvet Underground never released it back in the day; that album of ours was the only legitimate place you could find the track, taught to us by The Real Kids and The Modern Lovers while we were recording the Flamingo/Carrere platter for Paris back in the 1970s...) ...I let the band have fun with it. They do it more like the Velvets than my "new" arrangement ("new" forty years ago, that is....) ...it was fun to be out in the audience watching your group do one of the songs that launched your legend.

They did it great...I wasn't in the mood to sing it.

Oedipus: "Foggy Notion is your only good song." Really, Oedi? Have you grown up yet???

We have many good songs...many, many good songs...and we don't need the ex arbiter of taste putting his two cents in...ha ha... We are rocking, and he's long forgotten...

Can't wait for Year # 8 - September 2020...be there, or be square!

Makerspace Mondays is an intentionally youth directed space where young people can work on their own original media production projects with staff support. It is provided at a sliding scale ($0-$300) in order to provide access for all youth in our community. Please pay what you can, but know that the amount that you are able to pay does not impact your child(ren)’s chance of being enrolled in the program.

Theme Thursdays, formerly known as Workshop Wednesdays, are also returning! We’re excited to be offering a new series of workshops where youth will develop the skills to be confident, competent media producers by working on collaborative hands-on projects. Each 4-week session runs from 3-5:30pm on sequential Thursdays (excluding holidays/snow days), and is offered on a sliding scale–pay what you can, anywhere from $0-$250. Please note that we can only offer 2 full scholarships per family per school year.

Very Serious Court Error in Legal Proceeding on Friday

A complaint is being filed on a VERY SERIOUS legal error in a courtroom on Friday

1)Complaint being filed

2)Appeal

3)Change of Venue

That's all I am going to say, but looking at the law there was a grievous error by the court that must be addressed.

I will also be talking to the office of the District Attorney about this.

More I cannot say at this time for obvious reasons.

I am not an attorney, but was appointed as a paralegal for a case and know something about the law.

This was not something done by the defendant/stalker; this was something done by the court itself, which absolutely knows better.
I think it was premeditated as we have had issues before with the same clerk and the same court, which is how I got the head judge in the Commonwealth to move cases to Cambridge District Court.

When a plaintiff knows more about the law than a clerk, well, come on, she's been a clerk for 28 years...which makes it clear to me that this was allegedly done on purpose. Filing now and e mailing the complaint; the proper authorities can deal with it on Tuesday, September 3.

This was NOT a trivial error by the court.
It was a monstrous error and it will be addressed come Tuesday morning

Let's be realistic; my hard work and honest efforts in access television have faced too many difficulties by angry, jealous and very dangerous people. But when a court makes a mistake AGAIN (keep in mind the same clerk throwing away a victory on TV3 that was hard-earned, and my having the judge REINSTATE it) ...well, lightning striking twice is no coincidence. I will be lobbying the court that it was intentional. It is beyond egregious...this one is ten times worse than disposing of a victory. Ten times worse, and this Plaintiff will not take this nonsense sitting down.

It will be addressed quickly, efficiently and I am asking for a change of venue.

And demanding charges against an Executive Director of a public access television station as well for being a third-party participant in violation of an HPO.

The court error could take months to be investigated, but we'll see if we can have a quick appeal while the outrageous error is being addressed. Victims have rights, and the law is there to protect victims like this author/editor.

WE HAVE A VERY LARGE AUDIENCE ON THIS NEWS OUTLET. AND WE KNOW HOW TO PROMOTE THE BLOG TO GET AN EVEN WIDER AUDIENCE.

In the 1990s I cleaned up Woburn's local origination station, which also handled Stoneham.

It was a brutal fight, and now we have two TV stations that serve the public.

David Skerry at TV3 Medford, the first president and later an attorney for the station, proclaimed that they didn't want to see me on the front page of the newspaper victorious like the screaming headline in Woburn: VIGLIONE BACK ON TV

So I shut Medford TV3 down.

And David Skerry loved it. He went home with about 100 thousand dollars of your money in his pocket and said to me at the conclusion of the trials "Joe, I don't have to like ALL my clients."

HA HA --- the attorney DAMNING the nasty trio of Ronnie, Harvey and Frankie! HA HA

Know this. Mr. Skerry had LOTS more respect for the fighter in me than he had for the cowards Harvey, Frankie and Ronnie, and their pet hunchbacked elderly python Dr. Fleabag Deluca.

They were just a means to an end for him...and he did his cousin-by-marriage McGlynn the biggest favor in my shutting his own clients down.

What the hell were they doing suing when it cost them control of the station?

Word to the wise Ron Cox and George Manfra, your egregious activities have ensured that there will be big changes coming to the home of the stalker, MATV.

A sick, unbalanced woman, lying to the police about not going back to MATV, having contact with children, is a disgrace. Ron Cox, George Manfra, Ann D'Urso Rose accepting this kind of ugly activity, sanctioning rude and illegal behavior, is now on them.

I will be working with different government agencies to point out how disgusting Ron Cox's actions were, telling a victim they can't call the police or they will be banned. What a sick individual...and sloppy Ron with his sloppy desk with his skewed "Wisdom of Solomon" cut the baby in half mantra (the baby being free speech) will be running to Mark Rumley begging for some help, Mr. Donato.

Can't wait. If one objection got rum rum removed, think what many objections and videos of the city lawyer fighting with Michael Marks will do. Maybe a bonus: Maybe we can run rum rum out of town on a rail and continue my reign as folk hero for the senior set.

YOU DON'T KNOW HOW MANY SENIOR CITIZENS HAVE APPROACHED ME AND THANKED ME FOR DOING WHAT THEY DON'T HAVE THE STRENGTH TO DO.

LOOK, IF THIS 65 YEAR OLD MAN CAN STILL BOUNCE AROUND ON STAGES LIKE I'M 19 YEARS OLD, WITH ALL MY STAGE AND COURTROOM EXPERIENCE, THE ODDS ARE THAT I WILL BE VICTORIOUS AGAIN, NO MATTER HOW BRUTAL THE FIGHT.

It isn't easy fighting teams of creepy people and their creepy lawyers...however, when one has the passion, energy, experience and know-how, odds are that Ronny's biggest mistake was not being a man, not being honest, not being what an Executive Director of a free speech venue needs to be.   He fell back into his David Gauthier mode. The two individuals shared a room up at Salem TV.   Gauthier will be called as a hostile witness, and when I get Mr. G. on the witness stand, watch him absolutely crumble under questioning.

You see, I am a caring person that is passionate about access television. This isn't about me. This is about doing what is right for the community. These clowns just don't get it.

This writer has learned a lot dealing with Continental Cablevision, Inc., Media One, Medford government, AT&T, Medford Community Cablevision, etc. etc. etc. Children AT Malden Access TV should not have to be subjected to disturbed individuals currently lurking at the station with their Jekyll and Hyde routine. That's why God made judges and courtrooms.

I will be delighted to point this out in a court of law...again! Simply delighted to protect the children from Ron Cox and his bad behavior and those of his many accomplices.

When you coddle a dangerous individual who was and probably still is fixated on me, the only thing to do is to call the proverbial access TV "Waste Management" and fumigate MATV and have a little crop rotation in management. In the meantime we'll do a little more cleanup on Somerville, Winchester and Melrose just to frost the cake and expose their homophobic, hateful policies.

Meanwhile, Donald Trump will do his damndest to pull the plug, so like Hitler fighting too many battles, Ronny is going to be scampering with problems on a number of fronts, all caused by his own selfishness and stupidity.
