New Version of the Top 10 is HERE! Top 10 2:01 pm December 2, 2020

In 1989 on this day, December 2, I was heading to New York to see the reunion of Lou Reed and John Cale.

There was a moment where the road started icing and cars were swerving every which way. My friend who was driving had a steady hand and we made it there safely.   While at the concert someone broke into the car, stole my new pants, checkbook and keys!   In Brooklyn, New York. Funny how certain things like that stick thirty-one years later.

That night my guitarist, Fudge, was in Newton having drinks with his pregnant girlfriend.  Her ex was driving him home and the vehicle slammed into the wall of the Mass. Pike.  Dec 2, 1989.   Same time I was in New York watching Lou Reed.

The undertaker was one of our local band lead singers.  He phoned my office, which was in Wakefield telling me that my guitarist had passed, that a copy of our album was on cassette, bloodied, in his top pocket as his new band was on WBRS radio the night before (in Waltham).   He had played with Stephen Stills (of Crosby Stills Nash and Young,) the late Sib Hashian of the band Boston and my group.

Allegedly it was not an accident.  Allegedly the ex-boyfriend had done this before and walked away the first time. This time they both died.  Very sad story.

And thinking about that icy ride in Connecticut on the way to the Brooklyn concert, half the band could have died that day.

The Visual Radio Interviews!

 My typical workday...yesterday was about

8 am to 5:00 am ...21 hours...for a guy my age, yeah, that's nutty, but there's a feeling of accomplishment with all the music that got promoted, organized etc.  Spent hours collecting my Jimi Hendrix reviews from over the past two decades....just found this a few minutes ago, like to take snapshots of the autographs and publish the book covers.

MASSIVE Visual Radio project going on as I'm doing the radio show while transferring VHS tapes of the TV show.  Talk about multi-tasking.

These politics things on Medford Info Central are just political exercise to have some fun and help this region out.  We've done an excellent job of that!

The Power Brokers of Medford

1,745,345 @ 12:10 pm
254,655 to two million page views...and you KNOW the power brokers are some of those views...

The Power Brokers are not stupid.

They read between the lines.

This has nothing to do with Medford United.

Yes, I've been playing those broads - my cryptic messages got to those that they were intended to go to.  And they hardly have tea on the Fellsway.  Their pathology is far more elusive to the public, hidden from public view.

One thing a corrupt power structure hates is an investigative reporter that has a clue or two.

So how much do you think they LOATHE an investigative reporter with DOZENS of clues?

If one or two or more abusive moms get thrown under the bus, so be it.  They did it to themselves via their wrongful conduct.  They are - actually - irrelevant.

However, protection for the kids is just a bonus.

If those fumbling, stumbling low self-image charlatans have to go in front of a judge thanks to the Department of Social Services, that's just gravy for Medford and the protection of the tiny tykes...much needed protection.

Same thing happened in the TV3 wars.

Just ask Arthur Alan DeLuca's mother when elder affairs stepped in to stop him from abusing his sweet, kind elder mom who put a roof over that no good s.o.b.'s lazy head.

Deluca was told to sit out in the corridor, allegedly, after the fraud 501c3 board allegedly would reconvene without him, and the others, to counteract votes fraudulently, as rumor has it. Without a quorum.  The unholy trio of egotistical impostors.    While in Mark Rumley's office he, a member of the board of directors, was forwarded an e mail he read to me.  MCC TV3 attempted to have a board meeting without inviting one specific board member: Mark Rumley.

File that under: Quo-Rum(minus ley) or Quo-Rum Rum   (New Urban Dictionary Definition: A Quo Rum Rum is when one of the spies is left out in the cold from a board meeting because like Mad Magazine's Spy vs Spy, the spies on one side of the equation can't trust the spy on the other side of the equation)

But after their long run-in with this reporter, the doors of the despicable cable TV station finally shuttered.   Getting rid of the mayor's private government access posing as public access was very difficult.  Getting rid of the mayor's uncle inserted on a board where he did not belong (Medford Housing) was difficult.  Getting rid of that jackass Bob Maiocco was VERY difficult.

Getting rid of the next donkey ready to take the oath to be the new Bob Maiocco...oh, please...that will be a piece of cake.

________________________________
Like a good creepy obedient boy, Deluca followed orders, and got to use the computers and cameras at TV3 for his loyalty to some very bad people, reportedly, even picking up the best camera the station had - not at the office of TV3 - but on a street off of Salem across from the bike shop.

Deluca aiding and abetting TV3 got privileges cable ratepayers footing the bill were denied.

Nell Coakley at the Transcript to me:
"They called you crazy, and one by one - ALL of them came in here (the office next to Colleens, or better still, next to the Depositors Trust space) ...ALL of them came in here to say "Joe Vig was right."

Naturally!

(Fast forward April 2018, Michael Marks at TV3 meeting at high school "Joe Vig was right."

Hmmmm....is there an echo in here?)

But the Power Brokers had had enough once this journalist exposed TV3 to the point where a mayor had to cut bait.  That mayor had to unload TV3 because the spotlight on them, the clueless board of directors, started shining on the wizards (multiple) behind the curtain.

For years we've been compiling a dossier with names, phone #s and places describing in great detail all these "tentacles" which flow across this glorious state.   The cash - and it is ALL about the cash - flows to the west coast, flows to europe and God knows where else - and there are dummy corporations if you look closely, dummy corporations hiding layer after layer ...which, ostensibly, is why a sheriff found a bullet in his head, and a rash of alleged "suicides"(oh, please. Really?) happened from out of nowhere.

What they don't know is that if anything happens to me, that dossier gets unleashed quicker than you can say "the L'Italien Report."    How did I know that a certain city official recently frog-marched out of city hall worked with someone prior to the hiring very close to one of "the Power Brokers."  How did I know so much about Bob Maiocco and many others?  Gee, either I'm psychic - which I doubt - or...

...or there are some very powerful people opposed to "the Power Brokers" handing me all sorts of information, which I never discuss in phone calls, and keep on flash drives hidden at various locations.

No one with any credibility ever called this writer what Medford United and TV3 did.  Which just shows how out-to-lunch those entities were and/or are.   Medford United @ TV3: stupid is as stupid does.

Did you know that the late Prince Rupert Loewenstein purportedly structured the worldwide monies of the Rolling Stones through a street in Denmark, and the country of Denmark studies the network as a model to keep its interests secure?

Loewenstein is credited with transforming the Stones into a "global brand and one of the world's richest bands", in particular by encouraging them to take into account potential tax advantages in any decisions about where to record, rehearse or perform.[5] He managed their release from an existing contract, which paid them almost nothing, and persuaded them of the tax advantages of leaving England and moving to the south of France. He channelled their earnings through a series of companies in the Netherlands, and got them to rehearse in Canada, rather than the United States, to reduce their tax bill.[1] Richards said, "[t]he tax rate [in the U.K.] in the early '70s on the highest earners was 83 percent, and that went up to 98 percent for investments... It was Rupert's advice that we become non-resident".[12] Loewenstein also copyrighted the famous red tongue logo, and enlisted corporates sponsors such as General Electric for tours.[1]

Do you know which street in Medford holds the key?

Clearly, I do.   Knowledge like that tends to have a cement slab go flying through my bedroom window when few knew even which city I moved to...and even a long-time helper did NOT know which room in the house was my bedroom.

Was being past tense.  I'm in a much safer room now.

THE POWER BROKERS

Yes, it - the underground corporation of the power brokers - starts in Medford with satellite offices in other cities and towns, but their power surges across the Commonwealth, invisibly.  See some of my previous speeches at the Medford City Council to understand who this journalist was REALLY speaking to.  It wasn't to the citizens as much as it was to the Watchers and the Players.

You think a cement slab came through my window just because I got the goods (the L'Italien Report?)   You think my arm was broken by accident?    Really?  What kind of reporter are you?

Oh, and if you think Rick Caraviello is one of the "power brokers," think again.  He's (intentionally) about as effective as a used condom for a very good reason.  Fat boy is just a front for the dangerous men and women behind the curtain.

A distraction.

Medford's real enemy has yet to show its face to the citizens of this municipality, to paraphrase The Godfather

There are about 60,000 victims...known metaphorically as taxpayers.

Stay tuned...you know there's another shoe to drop.

10 Reasons Not to Hit Your Child

1. HITTING MODELS HITTING

There is a classic story about the mother who believed in spanking as a necessary part of discipline until one day she observed her three-year-old daughter hitting her one-year-old son. When confronted, her daughter said, “I’m just playing mommy.” This mother never spanked another child. Children love to imitate, especially people whom they love and respect. They perceive that it’s okay for them to do whatever you do. Parents, remember, you are bringing up someone else’s mother or father, and wife, or husband. The same discipline techniques you employ with your children are the ones they are most likely to carry on in their own parenting. The family is a training camp for teaching children how to handle conflicts. Studies show that children from spanking families are more likely to use aggression to handle conflicts when they become adults.

Spanking demonstrates that it’s all right for people to hit people, and especially for big people to hit little people, and stronger people to hit weaker people. Children learn that when you have a problem you solve it with a good swat. A child whose behavior is controlled by spanking is likely to carry on this mode of interaction into other relationships with siblings and peers, and eventually a spouse and offspring.

Hitting A Child Causes Damage That May Not Be Alleviated By Cuddles And Kisses – Maternal Warmth Can Actually Make Things Worse

______________________________________
https://www.childandfamilyblog.com/child-development/hitting-child/

“We can only speculate as to why this may be. Perhaps it is simply too confusing and unnerving for a child to be hit hard and loved warmly all in the same home.”

Research across many countries shows childhood anxiety and aggression caused by physical punishment may not fall, and can increase, when mum is very loving.

If you believe that beating, hitting or slapping your children and then smoothing things over gradually by smothering them with love, you are mistaken. Being very warm with a child whom you hit in this manner rarely makes things better. It can actually make matters worse. It can make a child more, not less, anxious.

This is one of many worrying findings from our research into whether the effects of corporal punishment are alleviated by maternal warmth. We studied over 1,000 children in 11 groups across eight countries, surveying mothers about levels of corporal punishment in the home and asking both mothers and children about childhood anxiety and aggression.

So Barr says the election was fair, Giuliani lies that it wasn't but simultaneously admits that Trump has criminality and they are looking for a self-pardon...have you EVER heard of such hypocrisy, lunacy and Nixonian nuttiness?

Rudolph W. Giuliani, President Trump’s lawyer who has led the most extensive efforts to damage his client’s political rivals and undermine the election results, discussed with him as recently as last week the possibility of receiving a pre-emptive pardon before Mr. Trump leaves office, according to two people told of the discussion.

It was not clear who raised the topic. The men had also talked previously about a pardon for Mr. Giuliani, according to the people. Mr. Trump has not indicated what he will do, one of the people said. https://www.nytimes.com/2020/12/01/us/politics/rudy-giuliani-pardon.html?action=click&module=Top%20Stories&pgtype=Homepage

JV Quoted in the New York Times

Being a bit of an expert on Jimi Hendrix, it is nice to see the New York Times appreciate my perspective quoting me after Alan Douglas passed in June of 2014.

One of my lawyers called and said

"You're quoted in the Boston Globe."

My response:

"And also the New York Times."

“If you take this work at face value, without the baggage of what ‘producer’ Alan Douglas did to the tapes,” Joe Viglione wrote in a review on the website AllMusic that also disparaged a co-producer, Tony Bongiovi, “it’s still Hendrix. Maybe God allowed the series of albums to happen so the world could see Hendrix’s work could survive doctoring and musicians jamming with his art after the fact.”

_______________________________________

Interesting...I co-promoted Tony's nephew, Jon Bon-Jovi, in 1985 - his first Boston show, and had dinner with Jon's uncle, Tony Bongiovi, back in 1995, great guy.  While at the Power Station  Tony had AC/DC recording upstairs.  Though I appreciate the band I was never a big fan, but they were sitting across from me in the lobby...

I was set to interview Mr. Douglas in July of 2014 for his new book but with the news of his passing, his co-author chatted with me on the radio.

The NY Times quote wanted to give the upside and downside of the Douglas legacy. I've also been highly supportive of certain aspect of Alan's work.  My qualm was with some of the re-recording of the music after Jimi had passed...the doctoring was not necessary, but I credit Alan Douglas with keeping Jimi's name alive which was instrumental in making him the superstar that he is now, long after his passing fifty years ago.

WILD ANGEL: Jimi Hendrix Live At The Isle Of Wight

Blue Wild Angel:

Jimi Hendrix Live at The Isle Of Wight is a 102 minute documentary by Academy Award winner Murray Lerner which features a crystal clear updated sound mix by engineer/record producer Eddie Kramer and other goodies separating this version from the 56 minute 1970 release.

Videotaped documentary footage recorded three decades after the original film was shot adds insight. There are interviews with Kramer, bassist {$Billy Cox}, drummer Mitch Mitchell, Jim Marron - president of Electric Lady Studios, Hendrix tour manager Gerry Stickles, along with director Lerner himself and full length versions of the included songs from the legendary festival. As audio fragments of this concert became commercially available through the years including three tracks on Columbia Records The First Great Rock Festivals Of The Seventies and four other titles on Polydor's Jimi Hendrix / Isle Of Wight lp, different perceptions of one of Jimi's final concerts reached the public consciousness. At nearly double the 54 minute length of the Rhino Home Video} from 1970 entitled Jimi Hendrix: Live At The Isle of Wight, the result is simply breathtaking with Jimi Hendrix - the rock star performing in all his glory as his sun was about to set.

Lerner calls this "a labor of love which took a long time to finish" and he credits the Experience Hendrix company with helping obtain the backing to complete the project. Filmed between approximately 2 AM and 4 AM on August 31, 1970, it is so dark that the 600,000 or so people in the audience hardly affect what you see on the screen.

The director said the film is "deliberately claustrophobic" realizing that "Jimi was the key thing to photograph" stating that they stuck to Hendrix "very intensely". Billy Cox's brilliant bass work can be heard cleanly as both he and drummer Mitch Mitchell creat a platform on which genius unfolds. Jimi's versatility is in evidence, he clearly separated making a record from performing on stage. Purple Haze explodes in a way that would never have captured AM radio airplay, and is a stark contrast to the blues of "Red House" which, on film, has lots of interesting shots of Jimi's hand playing against the light while his facial expression is of a man lost in thought while in the throes of a wild solo. The guitarist here is a master technician, as is Murray Lerner who captures this modern day Beethoven with equal brilliance. The contrast of "Red House's" subtleties to Hendrix turning up his Marshall stacks and giving the people what they want -he psychedelic blasts of "Foxy Lady" - is more proof of how the singer/performer utilized all aspects of the stage - combining the volume and feedback with his clothing, hair, body movements, foot on the wah wah pedal, over amplification, all tools of this part of his trade.

.The build up with photography of the landscape before the main event and daytime glimpes of the crowd (along with Billy Cox's memories of how loud they were) combine to make this a respectful and precise look at a special moment in music history. Murray Lerner feels the 20 minute version of "Machine Gun" here "makes a big difference. It's much more powerful" (than the previous seven minute edit they had in release). The DVD has different camera angles for some of the songs included in the theatrical version, and will also include a bonus rare live performance of "Dolly Dagger".

MY SON JIMI – AL HENDRIX WITH JAS OBRECHT

BOOK REVIEW BY JOE VIGLIONE

Written Jun 28 1999, 12:00 am

James A. Hendrix tells his story to Jas Obrecht, former editor of Guitar Player magazine and primary author of Blues Guitar: The Men Who Made The Music. And many of us forget that underneath the psychedelia, the fuzz guitar, the stage presence and theatrics,

James Marshall Hendrix was, indeed, a blues guitarist. Check out the great stories…P 144 “Jimi didn’t give his first album to me directly, I got one from some hippies who lived next door…I was surprised that I knew it was Jimi because I’d never heard him sing before. I had also never heard him play as the Experience. But I told the wife, “Hey, that sounds like Jimi!”

..The people came over and brought their record. They had just bought it that day, and they were so excited over living next door to Jimi’s dad. They said, “Oh, yeah! You can have the record.”

Great shots of The Experience at the airport during the visit to Vancouver, Jimi’s last visit home…reading this it is hard to believe the rock warrior was only 27 years old…a baby – really, and made such an impact on what we hear and how people make music today.

This book is essential reading. It sells for 29.95
