Specific information and the general guidelines for remote participation by members of the public and/or parties with a right and/or requirement to attend this meeting can be found on the City of Medford website, at www.medfordma.org. For this meeting, members of the public who wish to listen or watch the meeting may do so by accessing the meeting link contained herein. Be it Resolved that the Medford City Council request that we reach out to one of the owners of the 630 Fellsway Plaza, Kimco, to meet with the City Council on the placement of collection bins on their property.
21-079 – Offered by Vice President Knight
Whereas, the Q2 Revenue Forecast projects a $5.5-8M structural deficit, and
Whereas, the current Fiscal Year Budget relies on $5M in reserves,
Be it so Resolved that the Mayor present to the Council a zero-base budget for the up-and-coming Fiscal Year.

Be it so Resolved that the Medford City Council request that the Administration provide a presentation of See-Click-Fix data each quarter following roll-out of the new program.

Be it Resolved that the City Environment and Energy Director look into Solar Carports at City facilities to help with energy costs and possible revenue gaining ventures.

Be It Resolved by the Medford City Council that the City Administration provide an update on the status of 80-86 Canal Street, which had a severe fire last year and was left open to the elements for several months, and how the Administration plans to address health, safety, and code enforcement to ensure safety for any new construction and for neighboring residential buildings.
Be It Further Resolved that this item reappear on the City Council agenda in two weeks for the update and discussion of further action that can be taken by the Council to address this issue.

Be It Resolved by the Medford City Council that we request that our State Representatives and State Senator advocate for a "hold harmless" provision for charter school reimbursements in the FY2022 State Budget to prevent a nearly $1 million loss in urgently needed state aid for Medford's public schools.
Be It Further Resolved that we request that our state delegation explore a permanent solution that will stop the draining of over $8 million from our city budget for charter schools.
Be It Further Resolved that the City Clerk forward a copy of this resolution to the Medford legislative delegation as well as House Speaker Mariano and Senate President Spilka.

I respectfully request and recommend that your Honorable Body accept under Massachusetts General Laws the Acts of 2020, Chapter 325 to appropriate Two Hundred Thousand and Zero Cents ($200,000.00) from the Medford Casino Special Revenue Fund to fund a Fire Ladder Truck lease payment. This request is in compliance with the Medford and Wynn Casino Surrounding Community Impact agreement specifically the public safety payment.
Fire Chief, Frank Giliberti and Finance Director Aleesha Nunley Benjamin is present to answer any of the Council’s questions regarding this matter.
