Medford to Help Strengthen Small Businesses

with Significant Tax Relief Program

Vacant Storefront District Program offers a total award of up

to $10,000 in tax credits to help eligible businesses

(MEDFORD) — The Medford Economic Development division is establishing a Vacant Storefront District Program in partnership with the Massachusetts Office of Business Development, announced Mayor Breanna Lungo-Koehn. The program aims to revitalize business districts through tax relief for vacant storefronts.

The Vacant Storefront District Program provides tax credits of up to $10,000 to businesses that occupy eligible first-floor storefronts and have been vacant for 12 months or more within the six Medford Vacant Storefront Districts. The Economic Assistance Coordinating Council (EACC) will award Economic Development Incentive Program (EDIP) tax credits of up to $5,000 with a $5,000 match from the City using Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funding, for a total potential award of up to $10,000. A business may only receive one award from this program.

"Many of our vacant storefronts are facing financial challenges that are keeping them from successfully opening in our downtown,” said Mayor Lungo-Koehn. “As we work to revitalize Medford’s business districts, this tax credit will relieve some of that financial burden and allow businesses to flourish.”

Interested businesses or individuals must submit an indication of interest form before applying to the EACC by the posted State deadlines to be considered at the corresponding EACC meeting. Find the indication of interest form here.

For more information about the program, visit medfordma.org/vacant-storefronts. With questions about the application process, contact Jessica Martinez, Economic Development Planner, at jmartinez@medford-ma.gov.

I am looking into what in life works best for me.

We now know there are many very questionable Americans.

Very stupid Americans voting for a rapist.

A Felon. A criminal.

Let us find a solution.

Nothing is written in stone and life offers many good changes.

Gravitate to the positive

Count Your Blessings, Time for a Revolution

We wipe  the sleep from our eyes this morning to find a rapist / felon elected
to ruin the country.

It is a wake-up call for we progressive Democrats.

There is a silver lining.  The jackasses who voted for the criminal Trump
can now watch him destroy our economy, destroy Ukraine, and steal.

Ever the optimist, I count my blessings every day.

Frank Pavone is the Harry MacGilvray of priests, conflicted and using his collar, like the MacGilvray family's black sheep (well, one of them) used his badge for political purposes. if you love Jesus you denounce the disgusting Catholic Church. Harry MacGilvray was fined for using his badge to promote a con artist - now a convicted felon, that a judge called a rapist and who caused an insurrection. (Harry's favorite Jeff Epstein pedophile, Trump.) That s.o.b. Leo A. Sacco Jr. was also fined for conflict vis-a-vis the Cradock Bridge scandal. These are not ethical men, yet you in Medford have to do as they say, not as they do. #HarrisWalz2024
Frank Pavone of Priests for Life was defrocked by the Vatican in 2022 for "Blasphemous social media posts." There's no appeal, and he can no longer present as a priest or perform the seven sacraments. This photo is from right after the Insurrection. Harry and Frank need Rudy Giuliani, the con with no law license, to represent them.

  Medford to Officially be

Designated as a Purple Heart City

Ceremony to be held on October 30 at 4:30pm

on the front lawn of City Hall

(MEDFORD) — The City of Medford will be designated as a

Purple Heart City in a dedication ceremony on Wednesday, October 30 at 4:30pm

at City Hall, announced Mayor Breanna Lungo-Koehn.

The ceremony will honor local veterans, specifically Purple Heart awardees,

for their sacrifice and bravery.

A Purple Heart City is given to municipalities that recognize

Purple Heart military personnel, who were wounded or killed in combat.

To qualify for the distinction, municipalities must have residents,

either living or deceased, who have received this military award.

“There is a thriving and engaged veteran community in Medford and

honoring them with this Purple Heart City distinction before Veteran’s Day is a fitting tribute to their service,” said Mayor Lungo-Koehn.

“Please join us on October 30 for the dedication ceremony

to thank those who have sacrificed so much for our country.”

The Mayor’s Office, Medford Office of Veterans’

Services, and Secretary of the Executive Office of Veterans Services Jon Santiago MD, MPH,

will begin the ceremony at the Killed in Action memorial on the front lawn of

Medford City Hall, 85 George P. Hassett Drive.

A dessert reception will follow in the City Hall Howard Alden Memorial Chambers.
