We were going in to Normandy Sound, RI to record "I Love that Feeling" and an as yet unreleased Rolling Stones song "Blood Red Wine" (now on the deluxe Exile on Main St.) ...Medford's Joe Pet was trading sound with Phil Greene, the engineer. So I went to the back of the studio and came up with this. Jimmy Miller loved it...the band was freaked that after months of practice we would learn something IN a major studio. I loved it...like being Mick Jagger and just writing IN the studio, with Jagger's own producer, former Medford resident Jimmy Miller. It was a trip. Jimmy asked if I liked what he was doing with my song I said "No. But I can produce me any day of the week, you're Jimmy Miller, have fun!" And Jimmy and Phil Greene went to work. At the time I didn't like the Boney Maroney bass riff, or my friends Ava Electris, Jo Jo Laine and Dalia Davis doing Doo Wop backing vocals, six months later I realized how special the Miller Magic was. My genius was to walk away and let the greatest rock and roll record producer of all time do his job. Now one of my all-time favorite tracks. Oh, and it's a true story of a threesome that didn't happen. It wasn't the trick asking me what my sign was, my boyfriend was an amateur astrologer always asking people their signs. I just put the artistic license words in the married man's mouth because when my boyfriend flipped out, clearly, nothing else was going in ///oh, never-you-mind.......ahem...
