Mirror Mirror watch out for that toad!
Oh, it's just another junkie by the side of the road
He must have come from really good stock
Gee, the most politest junkie on the block
His daddy runs around, tells them how to live their lives
He's the first to cast stones, that's how his business thrives
Call the cops to help, if you got the nerve
But junior's policing idea / is to protect and swerve
Public servants, look what they did to me
and a another cop, allegedly, to a Fulton Street tree
They're like beggars with taxpayers /filling their cup
The apple don't fall far so "bottom's up."
If you write about their crimes they go into fits
A city chock full of damned hypocrites
You buy them 'xpensive dinners, with melon and pear
And you get convicted felon as a school vice chair
Candidates for office need a CORI check
If they want a TV show, oh what the heck
Their resumes replete with/ nepotism embellishment
a rancid city sated with / criminal element
Mirror Mirror they're so absorbed with self
Citizens working hard/are put on some dusty shelf
These monsters, gangsters think they're the elite
What happened to the kindly cop
that used to walk the beat
You can see their broken souls / when those canaries have to sing
The entitled and their flaws are found / in their offspring
A bunch of broken people who stay in power for too long
some invasive species eating / a world in which they don't belong
Yeah...Satan Satan, begone begone
Begone, Satan!
lots more on this but I got a ZOOM meeting for work on a Sunday...go figure...we'll get back to this sordid story later
(getting to write some verses while working on Zoom...technology is great!)
