According to a message Cassellius sent to students' families, Principal Patricia Lampron and another staff member, who was not identified, were assaulted by a student.Cassellius said Lampron was taken to an area hospital and that the district is in contact with her family, and noted that many students, staff, parents and caregivers witnessed the assault.
"This incident is disturbing and completely unacceptable," Cassellius said. "We want to be clear: Violence of any kind is not tolerated and will not be tolerated in the Boston Public Schools."
