Sharing a message from Kit Collins for Medford City Council
ahead of tonight's cc meeting:
Dear neighbors,
I’m reaching out to ask you to sign a petition in support of our neighbors on Bradlee Road in Medford Square. For months, they’ve been fighting displacement from their long-term residences, and seeking negotiations with their commercial landlord, Savage Properties. On August 1, Savage served them with eviction notices.
Tonight, Vice President Bears and I have invited a representative of the Bradlee Road Tenant Association to give an update on their situation at the City Council meeting. Can you help us get to 500 signatures on this petition of community support before our meeting starts at 7pm?

The situation on Bradlee Road is just one window into the housing crisis facing Medford and the whole greater Boston area. But every story like this represents households displaced, communities disrupted, and lives shot through with the anxiety and expense. I share more about the situation on Bradlee Road in a short (5 minute) update on my Council blog: https://www.kitformedford.com/.../fighting-displacement...
Thank you for your support, and please don't hesitate to be in touch.
Be well,
Kit Collins for Medford City Council
