“His victims have been hiding in fear from this guy for years. Now that he’s caught HE wants to hide in fear and shame but that’s not how it works,” she said, adding that showing his face would allow other potential victims to recognize him and come forward. “In fact, the judge should have insisted he show his face because that’s what the law requires AND who knows if there are other victims out there?”

Parker, who was retained that day following Cheung’s Monday evening arrest by Boston police on four outstanding warrants for the rapes, also asked to waive a reading of the statement of the case.

Stanton met prosecutor Ian Polumbaum’s request and set bail at $250,000 per case, amounting to $1 million cash bail. He set bail without prejudice and bail is scheduled to be revisited in a Sept. 22 hearing.
