Easy, right out of her mentor McGlynn's playbook. They let streets fall apart until election time, and then they pick and choose which streets get fixed to maximize votes. Go to West Medford and see what great shape the streets are in.
Muccini-Burke doesn't think Central and Pinkerton deserve fixing...so they discriminate and aren't fair about it. It is all about the votes, taxpayers and ratepayers and residents be damned
It took years and complaints to finally get Central addressed, but look at Garfield Ave, look at the surrounding streets...and here's the kicker: Even Fred Dello Russo said to us at the city council during one of my speeches that National Grid is REQUIRED to put the streets back into pristine condition.
Well, Pinkert looks like the face of Frankenstein's monster, and it has the National Grid fingerprints all over it. So Dello Russo talks a good game, but why am I the one demanding change? It's easy to give lip service as a city councilor and walk away unscathed, but if outgoing councilor Dello Russo really gave a damn, we'd have National Grid (initials NG do the math) fixing the streets they are breaking.
