On Jan. 26, Commissioner Michael Luongo voiced concern about Coddington’s failure to agree on a contract with the FHA after he was offered the executive director position there in 2006.

Every time Luongo opened his mouth I raised my video camera and captured him on tape. You could see how unsettling it was for Luongo and he changed his tune on Coddington.

Coddington turned out to be another joker, another bad pick, but the alternative would have been far worse, probably another Bob Covelle type, and after the Covelle scandal, the entire board should have been removed for their stupidity or complicity.  A betting man would go with the latter.*

*I don't recall who was on the board when Covelle was hired, but the huge scandal was enough that the entire board HAD to be removed and replaced with honest people; cleaning up the bad element on the staff wouldn't be a bad idea either, I Love Lucy.

Question: Why do these individuals stay on boards forever and ever in Medford?

Crop Rotation!  I brought it up with TV3, I bring it up again.  Without proper crop rotation a plant cannot reach its full potential.  Stagnation is what Medford is suffering from, and based on information, belief and interaction with Mr Luongo, I believe his participation on the board of the Medford Housing Authority is DETRIMENTAL to life in Medford.

Luongo AND YOUNG, must go!

“I was looking for a longer term, higher salary and benefits,” Coddington told the MHA board on Feb. 2, “but it allowed me to have more interactions with the board and I got a feeling that it wasn’t going to be a great fit for me.”

In 2006, FHA Board Chairman Stephen Starr told the Transcript’s sister paper, The MetroWest Daily News, that Coddington was seeking a four-year contract at $110,000 per year while the authority offered a three-year contract at $105,000 per year.
