To the Citizens of Medford (This letter sent to a plethora of politicians)

To the citizens of Medford:

How do we get the city council under Plan A government to actually work for the 30k or so a year they take from us?

12.5 percent of the membership of Medford Community Media is elected politicians. There are also candidates who ran for public office as members. The numbers are so weak at MCM that the station manager, alleged to be living in Georgetown, claims he is a member.

Other access stations laugh at that when told that Patrick Gordon lists himself a member of the Medford TV station.

Solutions are my focus.  Moving the station to an appropriate place in Medford Square or a similar area, hiring a competent staff.
I already know who I have in mind as caring, concerned access TV experts.  We have a lot more years doing this than Mr. Gordon, who is a Stephanie Burke leftover.

Gordon doesn't get it.  He's supposed to facilitate access, not make his own shows on our dime if that's why he is listing himself as a member, as disgraced ex manager Dawn Natalia did, and you saw what a disaster that was!  It was all about Ms. Natalia, a woman from Foster RI, using our resources for a bunch of  poorly produced, poorly written and poorly directed fiasco after fiasco.  And she ran back to RI laughing at us, losing in court, but spending your money for her moment on the witness stand - where she admitted to the franchise fee bankrolling her failed vendetta...Medford was left with nothing, holding the bag and the landlord at 5 High Street telling them allegedly NOT to come back. (Allegedly there were two orders from two landlords for the old TV3 to stay away! Wonder if Riverside Ave felt the same way...in which case it would be a clean sweep!)

On March 10, 2020 this veteran of access TV dating back to 1979 will roll out his vision for access television in Medford.

Come to the city council of Medford at 7 pm, March 10, and hear a professional educate the citizens on what they need to do for this free speech platform, and how it will enhance the community.  We are not getting what we pay for...again - and with a new mayor as the "franchising authority" or "issuing authority," a mayor who - when TV3 attacked her, and when they attacked Bob Penta and Stephanie Burke, this writer, Joe Viglione, cleaned up the mess TV3 put on the web to attack Breanna, Bob and Stephanie.

Breanna Lungo Koehn gave me permission to clean up the TV3 sites and thanked me for my effort.
Bob thanked me for my efforts.  Stephanie?  She used the voice of silence.

I've been there for Breanna.  Years later, she's in a position to help the good guy help the citizens.

Joe Viglione is the hardest working man in Boston Rock & Roll according to a former program director of WBCN. The Boston Globe called Joe "Boston's hardest working underground impresario" while the greatest of the great, Jimmy Miller, producer of the Rolling Stones, Traffic, Eric Clapton said of Mr. Viglione's work ethic:

"I have never found someone with the devotion, hard-working dedication and simple all-out effort that I have found in Joe"

RECORD PRODUCER JIMMY MILLER  "Gimme Shelter," "Jumpin' Jack Flash," "Brown Sugar," "Honky Tonk Women" etc.

You won't find that work ethic from Rick Caraviello for 30K a year, walking out of the council when a critical vote for pay-to-park was taking place.  That's compensation fraud when a city councilor like Mr. Caraviello, takes your cash and walks out on a pivotal vote.

And that's the stumbling block.  The Fred Flinstone of the city council can't even blurt out a coherent sentence. You expect Caraviello to stand up for your First Amendment rights, even though "Mr. Flintstone" Caraviello took an oath to do so?

Michael Marks enjoyed his show on access television - and I certainly endorse ALL politicians being on access, but not at the expense of the community.  As I told Jay Campbell at an advisory meeting - why are you thinking of a real estate show when your primary job as chair of the cable advisory board is to discuss other people's programs?, not your own!!!  They just don't get it.  Mr. Marks should have been out there signing people up for cable TV rather than doing his show first.

Full disclosure: I offered to help Marks and he told me to set up an interview with a very popular Somerville host for him.  I did, and
Marks failed to make good on the hard work I put in for him.  He was a no show, much like Marks is on critical access issues.

It's all about Michael Marks, not about his constituents.  He got on the air, and you didn't.

I will address these issues on March 10th and more.  This is about COMMUNITY.

I care about Community - about your kids and your grandparents and YOU learning computer skills...the nebulous 30 classes Mr. Gordon claims he held are not even documented properly according to a public records request response.

Meanwhile I taped a 55 minute show this Friday night 2-28-2020 with the biographer of the rock band THE CARS
Have a Hollywood film director and film producer on the list for early next week - major forces in the film industry,
and we have more interviews lined up that I barely have time for, and interviewed Commissioner Ed Davis as well as taping
Michael Douglas, Mr. Davis and Breanna Lungo-Koehn on Sunday 2-23-2020 at the Mike Bloomberg office.

I am the hardest working man in public access as well as rock and roll!

I helped the issuing authority when she was savagely attacked by TV3 Medford.

It would be appropriate and - actually - her job - to return the favor.

Public Access Television Crisis

Public access programming is community programming on cable TV. It gives you the opportunity to write, produce, direct, and perform in your own programs. People who normally are not allowed easy access to the mass media find a powerful resource for local expression through public access. A majority of public access programs are produced locally by non-professionals.  https://www.accesschannel.com/

I am here to help the community.   And here you thought that was the job of Neil Osborne and the mayor, didn't you?

In Medford, it is up to the community to do the heavy lifting.   With a new administration that focus is supposed to change.

Breanna gave me permission to clean up the mess TV3 made on the web attacking her. She thanked me.
Now all I'm asking is for the issuing authority, Breanna, to do her job and let me help the community.

I'm not looking for special treatment, I'm simply looking for FAIR TREATMENT.

Not special favors, just something every citizen deserves, access to the electronic soap box.

Transparency, Unity, Community, Integrity - you'll find that in my work ethic.  But then again, I'm a man of action, not a politician
telling you what you want to hear and not making good on it.

Meet me at the city council, Madame Mayor, and let's discuss access television on March 10, 2020. You say you want experts involved,
here's your big chance!
Michael Marks and his city council pass the buck on the issue...until Michael is "left three-quarter profile if the key light is no more than five feet high during the close shot.’   He thinks he's Fay Wray awaiting Cecil B. DeMille in a remake of Sunset Boulevard.

Your 30k a year fund his delusions.

Me?  I just want to get the work done for the community

Joe Viglione
