Former Saugus Cable Television Station Operations Manager Rich Garabedian maintains that allegations made about his improper actions at the cable access studio are “erroneous, false and without merit.”
On May 29 the SCTS Board of Directors voted unanimously to dismiss Garabedian as operations manager, citing a deficiency in his management and a lack of confidence in his abilities.
Garabedian recently appeared before the Board of Selectmen to speak about being “unceremoniously terminated” and to dispute the allegations levied against him.
When Garabedian raised the subject Selectmen Chairman Michael Serino read an opinion from town counsel that it was a personnel matter that shouldn’t be discussed publicly.

    Garabedian also clarified that an audit conducted by Powers and Sullivan revealed no significant deficiencies and “nothing wrong that was done by myself or staff.” He noted that the Board of Selectmen approved the transfer of all funds from the town to Saugus Community Television spanning his time as executive director from 2009 through July 2012.
