When the first speaker of the night, resident Marcus Philmon, said he respected Putney's integrity and supported him, Philmon was heckled off the podium, WSOC-TV reported.After Philmon, a steady stream of speakers railed against city leadership, with many speakers infuriated by delays in the release of police videos of the shooting.
