PERFORMANCE REVIEW
The inauguration was January 5, 2020
August 27, 2020 is the 240th day of the year 2020 in the Gregorian calendar. There are 126 days remaining until the end of the year.
The day of the week is Thursday.   This is the 235th day of the Lungo-Koehn administration

Before grading the staff, let's look at the problems facing the mayor

1)Coronavirus

2)Vice chair of school committee exposed as convicted felon

3)Lack of transparency, citizens need to file public records requests in order to get vague, redacted answers when the mayor should be honest
4)No public access television that embraces 1st Amendment; CORI check for access producers with a convicted felon on school committee. Go figure

5)Alleged restraining order at DPW with knife threat from employee, no public discussion of such violence within city government

6)Radical groups Our Revolution/Medford, Mobilize Medford, Medford United all acting in a subversive and non-beneficial to residents way

7)Failure to be upfront about Erin Nestor, her alleged replacement ABDOURAHMANE BA - in caps to get citizens asking who he was and why?

8)No transparency on where city hall doors "being repaired" walked off to, copper at Medford Housing, manhole covers at DPW, inventory not listed on city website.  A TRANSPARENT government wouldn't have so many rumors of theft at various departments, a transparent government would list  taxpayer funded entities like expensive wood benches missing from Alden Chambers, inventory them on websites

9)32 cops in Medford on the Brady List - not a peep from the Mayor of Transparency, Breanna Lungo-Koehn
A little sunlight on these "all good men and women" Chief Buckly was scrambling to defend October 1, 2019 when Breanna was on the city council.
Anyone notice that after she secured the election with 652 votes she went from interrogating Buckley while on the council to ALIGNING with Buckley as mayor.   That, my friends, is blatant hypocrisy, or what I call "Stephanie's leftovers"

10)Failure to hire qualified individuals with the thought of improving Medford.  Thus far Breanna Lungo-Koehn is using the office like Muccini Burke and McGlynn before her, like Donald Trump in Washington, to service her friends and colleagues to the detriment of Medford. No integrity, no
community, no transparency, no vision to or for the future.   The same hacks from Muccini-Burke's regime, Mike Nestor, Pat Gordon, Jack Buckley, festering, pestering and positioned to continue the rotting of Medford life. No sense of correction, healing or improvement.  The same old same
old mess with Chief Buckley and Mayor Lungo-Koehn bending over backwards for a group of outsiders from New York City and Brockton, the "Mobilize Medford" lunacy that has the fancy of the police chief and the mayor, while there's video evidence Patricia Brady Doherty is circulating that the group is hardly benign or beneficial.   Why let evidence stand in the way of a phony police department that files false charges on a reporter to try to hide the malfeasance that is the rule, not the exception, in a city that fails its residents.

CONCLUSION on PROBLEMS:   Mayor Lungo Koehn has failed to address problems.  Allegedly she hides in her bunker in the corner office day after day, unlike Muccini-Burke who allegedly was busy busy busy shopping at Wegman's and Kohl's.  Both mayors derelict in their duties, failing to live up to their oath of office, with the specter of ex mayor McGlynn looming over the city like a giant dark shadow.

This reporter was treated with disrespect on 8-26-2020 asking simple questions.  When asking Neil Osborne if John Bavuso and Shab Khan were still employed he refused to say to me "Sure, call their direct lines and see."

I've been calling Mr. Bavuso's line since Monday, no one has picked up.  Attorney Osborne then tells me it's a "personnel issue."  I took that as that they are no longer employed.  Mr. Osborne said "Take it any way you like."  Real Transparency in ACTION, don't you think.

GRADING NEIL OSBORNE      F for Failure
Attorney Osborne is copying another attorney lacking in honesty, ex solicitor Mark E. Rumley. Rumley tried to pull that "personnel" sleight of hand stunt on this reporter and the Secretary of State's office didn't buy it.  IF I file a public records request Mr. Osborne can be in the same embarrassing position as Rumley was.  Then again, I've already found the Disability commission and the Open Meeting Law in conflict when Mr. Osborne had about an hour notice that I would be videotaping a public meeting and that Facebook Live event was CANCELED by Rachel Tanenhaus AND Mr. Osborne so shame on both of them. Glad Rachel got a real job finally and got out of bothering people in Medford with her nonsense.   Rumley gets thrown off of a witness stand for "irrelevant" testimony and Disability commission violates Open Meeting Law...so is THAT why Neil Osborne allegedly got a raise?  And is THAT how they treat the public.   It's the rule in Medford, not the exception.

GRADING DAVID RODRIGUES    F MINUS

Andrea Estes article in the Boston Globe on feds investigating Everett City Hall:

The most recent departure, assistant city solicitor David Rodrigues, is particularly striking since he, unlike the others, resigned without another job. Rodrigues had been the principal liaison between the city and Wynn Resorts, which is building a casino in the city. Rodrigues declined to discuss his departure.

By Andrea Estes Globe Staff,November 23, 2015, 10:44 p.m.
Federal prosecutors are investigating whether Everett Mayor Carlo DeMaria strong-armed a developer to use union workers while converting the old Charleston Chew factory into a luxury apartment complex, according to people familiar with or briefed on the probe.Barry Chin/Globe Staff/File 2014/Globe Staff

Of course Rodrigues declined to be transparent, yet Breanna ran on Transparency and chose to hire Everett's allegedly damaged goods? "Particularly striking" and "declined to discuss his departure" and "Federal prosecutors are investigating" all in one story is as enticing as Paul Ruseau's
failure to be upfront about his felony conviction and prison time.

Why is Medford saddled with loser Rodrigues?  Allegedly it was a political hire to do a favor for a local politician related to Rodrigues; not qualifications, but alleged nepotism.

So we expected change with Lungo Koehn and got saddled with that loser who makes Postmaster General DeJoy look competent, it's sick.

PAUL RUSEAU (NEE PAUL COMEAU JR.) VICE CHAIR MEDFORD SCHOOL COMMITTEE    GRADE: F MINUS

More than stealing from a school system in New Hampshire, allegedly, is a man not being forthright with the community prior to an election.

The name change from Comeau to Ruseau, when Medford Information Central reported on the alleged prison time Ruseau said he was "laughing" about the allegations.  Laughing?  No remorse, no humility, and that many informants had the information means that Ruseau has real enemies out there.
Don't blame the messengers.

CASE #1
In Capitan New Mexico: On Tuesday, McCarty won a seat on the Capitan School Board with 241 votes, beating out two opponents. Soon after winning the election, KRQE News 13 found out McCarty has been convicted of multiple felonies.  https://www.krqe.com/news/politics-government/elections/convicted-felon-elected-as-capitan-school-board-member/
Dating back from 2005 through 2006, McCarty, who went by Christine Alanis at the time, had convictions for harboring a felon, forgery, credit card fraud, child abuse and drug charges.

CASE #2
How about the Chicago Illinois case of Dean Barnett who could RUN for school board but - by law - was not legally allowed ON the school board at the time

That takeaway is that so long as a person has not been convicted of an “infamous crime,” a felony conviction by itself will probably not exclude a school board candidate from running for office. Id. Oddly enough, any felony conviction could well prevent a municipal official from taking office. 65 ILCS 5/3.1-10-5(b). It appears the Illinois legislature will have to resolve this apparent inconsistency.

The Lincoln County Clerk says candidates aren’t required to state their criminal convictions when filing paperwork to run for office.

And yet another New Mexico case:

CASE #3  NEW MEXICO ATTORNEY GENERAL
NOTIFIED FELON SCHOOL BOARD MEMBER MUST RESIGN HIS SEAT IMMEDIATELY

Chris Ramirez October 23, 2019 06:16 PM
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.- New Mexico's attorney general notified a member of the Questa School Board that he must immediately resign his seat.

A report from 4 Investigates revealed that Ellis Garcia is a convicted felon.
He was charged and convicted for his role in an arson case in Taos County the early 1990s. https://www.kob.com/new-mexico-news/attorney-general-demands-school-board-member-step-down/5532663/

WHAT DOES MASC have to say about this?
MASC promotes effective school leadership and student achievement in Massachusetts through education advocacy, professional development and education.

Breanna and Mr. Ruseau must be the PRIDE of the MASC

The kids?  Who the hell cares about the kids?

PATRICK GORDON, MEDFORD COMMUNITY MEDIA    GRADE:  D -

Patrick Gordon should be fighting for membership and promoting TV shows.  He does neither. He's a lackey serving the government channel and not properly serving the public.    Only two lunatics defended Gordon at the city council when I spoke on March 10th, not very credible Kenneth Krause from Kleveland (Cleveland) who calls himself "Ken Medford" and some woman. Rather than work for the community when I was up there promoting the idea of hundreds and hundreds of members, selfish Krause and the other woman were heckling this journalist, Krause getting loud and disruptive, and it was more of an indictment on Gordon than a defense.  Only two people and the greedy city councilors who take advantage of access without fighting for the rights of their constituents.

CORI CHECK for access producers, convicted felon on the school committee with no real CORI check.  THAT is all you need to know, your honor!

Who are Daria Tejera, Jackie Rosetti Piques, Lisa Collaianni and why are they in the corner office?   How do they benefit Medford?

The grade for the Mayor is F for Failure when it comes to the composition of her staff.

It's not too late to change, but alleged nepotism and political favors puts money in the pockets of people Medford residents do not know.

Medford citizens need to be able to know and trust who they are dealing with and Breanna Lungo-Koehn swept into office with promises galore.

235 days into her administration we see no progress on the corruption at the police department, alleged corruption at the DPW, too many of Stephanie's staffers like Patrick Gordon at the TV station holding Medford back, and a mayor who is as out of her depth as Stephanie Muccini-Burke

GRADE FOR BREANNA:   F    Failure.  To improve this grade, the entire corner office needs an overhaul
