Registrars of Voters Office to Hold Training for Candidates for Public Office, Beginning in 10/21

For the first time, Medford candidates for public office will receive Election Day training on protocols and procedures prior to the Municipal Election.

The Registrars of Voters Office intends to hold similar trainings prior to all future municipal elections.

Candidates for public office in Medford will be eligible to receive training on Election Day protocols and procedures beginning in October 2021, the Medford Registrars of Voters Office announced this week. For the first time, the Medford office will host a Candidate Training on Saturday, October 16^th at 10 a.m. in the City Hall Council Chambers. Similar trainings are expected to be held prior to all future municipal elections, following a best practice already conducted by other communities throughout the state and under the guidance of the Secretary of State’s Office.

During the training, City staff from the Registrars of Voters Office, joined by Election Wardens and other elections staff, will provide important Election Day protocols, procedures, and answer questions from candidates.

While the training is open to the public, information provided will be specific to candidates’ campaign and related activities and will not cover general Election information for voters.
