We propose a new Cable TV Commission that the Mayor, the Issuing Authority, should take from existing boards:

_____________________________
John Costas - Chevalier
Bob Skerry - Currently named as TV Commission
Michael Luongo - Housing Authority
Edward F. O'Neill - Assessors

_________________________________________________________

Why did I choose these individuals?

---Costas was on the board of TV3

---Skerry knows the ins and the outs of the entire situation

---Mr. Luongo and I have had casual conversations outside of board meetings; he appears to be a good guy with an open mind and he is outside of the TV3 controversy, but knows Medford

---O'Neill doesn't live in the city. He's a professional and does his job without getting too bogged down in the politics.

---Mrs. Baker of the Finance Dept. might also be a consideration; she's got a level head on her shoulders and is also from outside the city.

We need to correct the situation.  The Mayor needs to take the Cable TV Commission seriously.  I nominate the above to run a new commission.   I've always liked Uncle Gene McGillicuddy - he's a nice fellow and might also have input to share regarding TV3; he was the president of TV3, I believe, and has an important perspective the Issuing Authority needs when putting a new non-profit or a new board of directors for MCC together.
