Embattled Medford Police Department Takes Antother Hit under Chief Jack  Buckley

Hank- take that issue up with the mayor. As for the Brady list, why was it swept under the rug? Yes, the police live at Dunkin Donuts etc. etc. and everywhere else... but Raso's and Medford (the city) are the ones in the news,. I appreciate your opinion - City Hall loves you because you aren't controversial. Me? They handed me this job when ...oh what was the quote at the police station allegedly: "If only they put his show on the air.". Real subversive stuff, Hank, and the police did NOTHING to clean up the TV3 mess. I did the work for them. I do not know Rich Raso, and my essay was based on a comment from a colleague regarding special treatment. I happen to agree. in general, I have found deep animosity from the MPD with death threats before I published the list on the L'Italien Report to a cement slab thrown through my bedroom window with enough velocity to kill me. Barry Clemente and another police department failed to properly investigate. Word is the officer who may have tipped off city hall is now being called a rat by his fellow officers. Since I like the guy, I'll leave him nameless. So God Bless Raso's and all that, they are in the news today, I'm just giving my opinion, with the obvious fact: 30 or so officers on the Brady list and a mayor sweeping it under the rug is outrageous, and today a restaurant is in the news. I'm still wondering why people aren't complaining to the mayor instead of putting their thoughts here.

that's where City Hall broadcast it all over creation. NBC took it note for note from City Hall: "Today, our Board of Health is in the process of contact tracing two separate and significant clusters of COVID-19 cases within the City of Medford: one from a potentially oversized gathering at Raso’s Grill, and another from a large Thanksgiving gathering at a private home." The Mayor broadcast it; I got information, NBC ran with it, and here we are. https://www.medfordma.org/.../important-covid-19-message.../

Two ‘Significant' COVID Clusters in Medford Tied to Restaurant, Thanksgiving Gatherings

City officials say the cluster linked to Raso's, located at 209 Mystic Avenue, potentially exposed patrons and staff to the virus. The potential community exposure occurred from Monday, Nov. 23 through Monday, Nov. 30. Anyone who dined in or ordered takeout from Raso's during this time is asked to contact the Medford Board of Health resource line as soon as possible by calling 781-475-5644.

The surge in Medford comes as communities across the commonwealth see a spike in COVID cases.

Massachusetts health officials announced a record number of new COVID-19 cases for a second consecutive day Thursday.

One cluster is connected to a potentially oversized gathering at Raso's Bar and Grille Restaurant and another is tied to a large Thanksgiving gathering at a private home, Medford Mayor Breanna Lungo-Koehn said.
