someone I lived with for a year visited me on Saturday and spent a few hours here. He was telling me about his views on the election.   Rather than ruin a friendly conversation and argue, I sent him an e mail about 48 hours later....here is that e mail

JOE BIDEN
306 electoral college votes
81,255,933 votes
7,059,780 more votes than Trump
                             Defeated Loser Trump

7,059,780 more votes than Trump, and keep in mind, a lot of those votes went to Republican Senators and Congress people

My Political E Mail

You know how passionate I am about politics, I didn't want to have an argument so I didn't respond to your claim about stolen votes.

Going to a polling place, voting, calling the Malden City Clerk while in line and asking if I could take photographs, getting permission and taking photographs for my online magazine, it was all on the up and up.

What people tend to forget is that Republican insiders got along with both Biden and Hillary Clinton.  The Fox News mud throwing aside, inside congress Clinton and Biden were able to work across the aisle.  Biden and McConnell go way back, they will come to an understanding
on certain issues.  Clinton was well-respected inside Republican circles; the smear machine at Fox worked on her because she was out there longer; the fake news on Hunter Biden didn't work, and Giuliani looks like a fool.

When Trump, or anyone else, tells me my vote doesn't matter or calls me names, well, like you, I'm intelligent and can put the facts together.

The Republicans got more Senate seats than they should have on the same ballots which had Biden votes.  There's the checks and balances.

Mitch McConnell is most pleased with the election and he knows it was  honest. He got a boatload of senate seats that he didn't expect.

so the nuttiness that Republicans claim "stolen election" when they benefited from it, well, one crybaby is lashing out, the Donald, because Republicans voted for Republican senators and they also voted for Biden to bring some sanity back to Washington

there's the argument, it cuts both ways, and many Republicans know that they won house seats and senate seats they would have lost had Trump not brought out the vote.

But in bringing out the vote people voted for Republican congresspeople and a Democratic president.

Here are some additonal facts

1)I voted in Malden and saw how orderly it was with the long line.   It was honest and it made me feel very proud to be an American.

A woman gave me a ride home

2)The enormous following Trump has is formidable, but Biden AND Republican Senators and Congresspeople got more votes ...

So IF there was THEFT of an election, Trust Me, the Democrats would have had far more Senate seats and House seats.

Trump's failure with the virus, his daughter having so much business with China and Trump's hotels making money so that foreign leaders could curry favor with him, these are facts, and I don't want America operated like a hotel chain.

3)One woman on Facebook is ranting about a stolen election, yet she failed to vote for Trump.  I find it interesting that a woman who didn't care enough to register nor show up at a polling place is telling me her opinion based on crazy right-wing fantasy videos ...I've watched them too and the courts, Republican judges, disagree with the Giuliani fiasco

4)Trump tried to stop a fair election when he hired DeJoy, with no experience, to remove machines and mail boxes.  A judge stopped them.

Keep in mind, we are talking Republican     Here's the most fascinating thing, Republicans used to vote by mail more than Democrats.

Trump knew the polls were right as his approval rating has been consistent for 4 years, 42 % or so.  His internal polling showed the same thing.

Trump knew he had 42 percent of America, not 50 percent.  That he got  74,196,153 votes is mind blowing, the 2nd most in history, (and the votes
are still coming in from California, the largest state) but the Democrats with 82,255,933 is the most in history

Add to that the dying Republican party uses sleight of hand with Gerrymandering (started by a Massachusetts politician - a Democrat, I believe) and rigging the census their way by cutting up the map, make it easier to disenfranchise voters.    (Wikipedia: The term gerrymandering is named after American politician Elbridge Gerry (pronounced with a hard "g"; "Gherry",[6] Vice President of the United States at the time of his death, who, as Governor of Massachusetts in 1812, signed a bill that created a partisan district in the Boston area that was compared to the shape of a mythological salamander. The term has negative connotations and gerrymandering is almost always considered a corruption of the democratic process. The resulting district is known as a gerrymander (/ˈɛriˌmændər, ˈɡɛri-/). The word is also a verb for the process.[7][8]  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gerrymandering

In Georgia, for example, blacks had to wait in lines that went on for hours and hours because Republicans made it harder to vote.  Yet Democrats have had enough of the lies and Tweets and distractions.   We were determined to stand in line, which I did in Malden.

So these people throwing rocks who  a)didn't register,  b)didn't see anything first hand  c)listen to Giuliani (he now has Covid,) and McConnell and Trump and Barr, don't understand what they are doing to our Democracy

You can't say it was stolen and then accept the Republican Senate and House votes.  Because of Trump's lies it is good to see that Republicans that shouldn't have gotten in actually GOT in.  They were down ballot votes ...so Republicans voted for Senators and rejected Trump

That's logical, makes sense, and trust me, NO DEMOCRAT would ever rig a system to include Republican senators, that would be shooting someone  in the foot.

It's also important to note that there is usually no conversation on this.  MSNBC, CNN give facts, Republicans try to shout louder, don't investigate as I did, as others do, it became a shouting match of "fake news," "stolen election" and other malarkey that's unintelligent and flies in the face of what my own eyes saw at the polling place.  By people who didn't care to register or show up to vote.  Telling me - like Trump did, that my vote didn't matter.

Well, it did, and all the people I voted for, Senator, Congress etc. won.

538 is the most accurate

The Senate

The democrats have won the popular vote in 7 of the last 8 elections.   There WAS funny business in the Kerry / Bush election where  Bush legitimately got more of the popular vote, but Kerry should have won Ohio.  There was a "coin collector" who was deep inside the Republican machine and did steal votes, and it tilted the election to Bush.  These things happen, just like the 2015 election in Medford was stolen by 550 votes, and I know exactly what happened.  XXXX   XXXXXX was bragging that he stole the election for Muccini-Burke, he was at the Housing Authority and allegedly bused illegal aliens to vote for Muccini-Burke. When I reported on it they fired him but the damage  was done (and that unknown person ended up on Muccini-Burke's transition team!  How???)  my candidate didn't listen to me until a year later and didn't get a recount which we were all urging him to do.

Stat Smith stole an Everett election and went to prison for 6 months ...he just ran again and lost.
WIKIPEDIA: In 2006 he was elected state representative. On December 20, 2012, US Attorney Carmen Ortiz announced that Smith had agreed to plead guilty to two misdemeanor counts of deprivation of rights under color of law for his role in a voter fraud scheme in which Smith cast absentee ballots for voters who were ineligible or unaware of ballots being cast in their names. It was announced that Smith would resign effective January 1, 2013. As part of his plea agreement, Smith will not be allowed to run for public office for five years.[3]

Smith is a former Democratic member of the Massachusetts House of Representatives, representing the Twenty-Eighth Middlesex from 2007 to 2012. In late December 2012, Smith resigned as part of a plea deal in a voter fraud case. He served six months in jail and was unable to run for public office for five years.[1]

As a reporter, I evaluate, and was 1000 % right about Medford.     Republicans won Senate seats that they should not have. Trump delivered those seats while the same voters rejected Trump, either by not voting for him or by voting for Biden.
