I personally brought the  CRAZED BUS DRIVER to light.   Professional from the Medford Police Department, Matt Jones, was witness to the unbalanced driver's meltdown.

Patrol Officer at Medford Police Department/NEMLEC  and another fine officer arrived to professionally get some, perhaps all riders off of the bus as the lunatic driver had a meltdown and just refused to move the bus, even though we paid the witch for a ride to nowhere.  This is a highlight of MBTA problems.  I'd estimate 80 percent of the drivers are excellent, but a whopping 20 percent seem to need therapy and supervision.

Advocates call for transit improvements in wake of MBTA issues

A coalition of public transit advocates on Thursday called on state officials to improve MBTA safety and funding in the wake of recent high-profile issues including a Green Line crash, a Red Line derailment, and the death of a man who fell through a rusted-out staircase near a T stop.

“Our hearts go out to the people affected by the recent safety issues,” said Collique Williams, an organizer with Community Labor United, one of the groups that compose the Transit Is Essential coalition, during a briefing Thursday morning outside the State House.

“We all should be able to use the public infrastructure and carry out our jobs without facing the dangers that too many people have experienced in recent weeks,” Williams said. “These disasters are not accidents. They are symptoms of the system that has been underfunded for too long.”

After several derailments and other accidents on MBTA trains and in stations — and after Gov. Charlie Baker vigorously defended the T’s record– transit advocates called on Bay State elected officials to make the MBTA safer.

“We know the solutions to the challenges facing the T, and we have the power to fix them,” said Josh Ostroff, Interim Director at the Transportation for Massachusetts Coalition following the Thursday rally on the State House steps. “The question is — what crisis will it take for our leaders to act with the urgency and scale required?”

Advocates including Brian Kane, executive director of the MBTA Advisory Board, called on Baker to appoint his members to the MBTA’s new Board of Directors, which he signed into law in late July. Baker has not appointed any of his five allotted members, while the Advisory Board selected its member in August.
