The Honorable undersigned respectfully asks for this Council to: a)put forth a resolution to change from a payment system to an all-volunteer council.
The council met for on hour, fifty-two minutes and fifteen seconds in all of November, 2021, yet each councilor is paid approximately $29,000+ with about $31,000.00 for the vice president and $32,00 for the president. The alleged public servants vote for their own pay raise gives the taxpayers the perception of a conflict of interest. b)create a reputable citizen board with no affiliation to the council (friends, family, etc.) that will decide stipends for the all-volunteer council 675c)that the 2022 city council pledge NOT to rad their own salary in these economic times and with the pandemic limiting taxpayer income To participate remotely outside of Zoom, please e-mail AHurtubise@medford-ma.gov.
