DeLeo a no-show as rep raps nondisclosure pacts
DeLeo, who had been in the chamber earlier, was nowhere to be found when DiZoglio spoke — an absence that did not go unnoticed by colleagues.“Mr. Speaker, where are you?” said state Rep. Angelo Scaccia (D-Readville). “Come out. Come out of your office.”
A spokesman declined to say why DeLeo missed the session.
Scaccia claimed DeLeo is the first speaker in his lifetime to use such agreements.
Scaccia said Attorney General Maura Healey should investigate the House procedures — something DeLeo’s office claims is unnecessary.

State Rep. Diana DiZoglio of Methuen said she faced harassment seven
years ago as a legislative aide. She was fired and a severance agreement
she signed has prohibited her from talking about the allegations. In
her speech, she said she decided to break her non-disclosure agreement
to bring attention to the issue.
"I don't break this NDA to attack or accuse anyone, I'm not asking for more money or threatening a lawsuit. And I will even give the severance money back if I am asked. I just want this awful practice to stop," she said.
