School Committee member Michael Ruggiero is considering running for State Representative in 2020, challenging Rep. Paul Donato.
A video surfaced online of Ruggiero sharing in confidence his intention to run for the position. Though he did not know he was on camera at the time the video was captured, Ruggiero confirmed this intention with the Transcript.
His primary motivation for running would be to help push for a review of the city’s charter, Ruggiero said. At the time when the video was taken, Ruggiero was collecting signatures for charter review, something he has been working on for the last several years.
