Upstate NY mayor allegedly abused wife, daughter; faces calls to resign

Cohoes, N.Y. -- Cohoes Mayor Shawn Morse is under increasing pressure to resign after a news report overthe weekend detailed allegations that he used physical violence against his wife and daughter.
Gov. Andrew Cuomo, a fellow Democrat, called for Morse to resign in a statement on Sunday. Cuomo issued the statement after a story in the Albany Times Uniondetailing multiple reports of Morse becoming violent with his wife and younger daughter.
