City of Medford to Host Virtual Vigil 6/8, 7PM

City of Medford to Host Virtual Vigil 6/8, 7PM

by Jackie Piques
Join us on Monday 6/8 at 7 p.m. for a Virtual Vigil in honor of George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery, Breonna Taylor, and all of the other Black lives lost to senseless and unacceptable acts of violence. As we continue community dialogue and work toward systemic change in Medford, toward equity, and to denounce racism, we hope you will join us for this virtual vigil and moment of silence.
The vigil will include remarks by the Mayor, Chief of Police, the City’s Director of Diversity & Inclusion, Superintendent of Schools, community activists and authors, local clergy, and the local branch of the NAACP. This is one of several dialogues and action steps the City, Police Department, and Schools intend to take to create change and promote equity in the City of Medford.
