good comment on YouTube: Tony's solo is one of the best ever written.It revolutionized pop music, because "fuzz guitar" wasn't accepted in pop music - only rock music. One of my teachers toured with The Carpenters as a horn player and he was a really old school jazz guy, but he loved Tony's solo and raved about it.
