As a news aggregator I check Wicked Local, the pretty useless Medford Patch, Dan Kennedy's column, the Police Twitter, and the major outlets for news on Medford.

Michael J. McGlynn, hardly-missed ex mayor, had an intense control of the Transcript and allegedly the Boston Globe editorial board, according to sources.  McGlynn was no damn good.

Based on information and belief, my opinion is that my former editor, Nell Escobar Coakley, had an unethical relationship with McGlynn - allegedly - one comment from her untrustworthy lips "If you want to do business in Medford...."

Also, it was fascinating that the Transcript did an unbelievably thorough job exposing Stephen Lebert after he refused to step down and resign, entitled from the family ties to the MPD, it was the most brutal and amazing story on a corrupt cop.  This reporter's instincts said: "Wow, McGlynn really must hate that dude."

Nothing got printed in Wicked Local, Medford, in my opinion, without the blessing of the Godfather, Michael J. "Poor man's Michael Corleone" McGlynn.
