Dear Keeper of the Records (or Ms. Dever-Wood, Ms. Khan, Ms. Baker or Mr. Rumley)

This is a request under the Massachusetts Public Records Law (M. G. L. Chapter 66, Section 10). I am requesting that I be provided a copy of the following records:

1)Documents and/or a list of equipment that Medford Community Cablevision, Inc. had to return to the city as the city co-owned the equipment with MCC TV3.  Preferably this information will be posted online at no charge as all ratepayers of Comcast/Verizon are interested in where their equipment is.

2)A list of the equipment sold or discarded and the documents that show which equipment was kept and which equipment was removed, and what happened to that equipment.  Hopefully this will be posted free of charge online in the spirit of the public access law.

3)Documents showing the amount of money received by city hall from the two cable providers, Comcast and Verizon, and on what dates those monies arrive.  Again, this information should be posted online free of charge.

4)Documents showing the exact amount of money city hall has received since the alleged dissolution of MCCTV3 and which bank these monies are kept in; also, if any money has been spent, how much money and on what (equipment, salaries, etc.)   Again, this information should be posted online for the citizens at no cost.

I recognize that you may charge reasonable costs for copies, as well as for personnel time needed to comply with this request. If you expect costs to exceed $10.00, please provide a detailed fee estimate PRIOR to beginning this work and explain fully why one loyal ratepayer would have to pay for information that should be available to the public at no cost..

The Public Records Law requires you to provide me with a written response within 10 calendar days. If you cannot comply with my request, you are statutorily required to provide an explanation in writing.

Sincerely,
Joe Viglione
