The cops are robbers, not the first time Medford police have been in the news for all the wrong reasons. I believe any theft over $250 is considered grand larceny so 25% of the force committed a felony but we're supposed to be satisfied with an informal inquiry and orders "not to do it again"
The arrogance of these guys blows me away! The state police overtime scam was in the papers on a regular basis around the same time, yet these guys thought nothing of doing the same thing.
We will continue to read the same stories over and over again until there are some serious repercussions. These guys don't care if they get a suspension "ranging from 1 to 30 days".
They'll just double up when the suspension is over. I should use the term double up loosly because they'r not actually working all the hours they're submitting detail slips for.
Until you decide to treat them like criminals, we will be reading about the same story, different city or town in a couple of weeks.
These alleged public servants have no shame and are tone deaf to reality

Cops
are not about serving the public, they are about protecting each other
and their friends. Go to any court on traffic day and see who walks out
smiling and laughing and who doesn't. Look at charges that get
downgraded after a phone call. Now speak out against it, guess who's
tickets won't get fixed. As someone stated above, best thing ever for
cops and firefighters was 911. We stopped asking questions and just
paid and paid.
