Dear Mayor-elect:
Police Chief Jack Buckley stated emphatically that he wants the public trust, yet this reporter has not seen any action by Mr. Buckley that would give the public any reason to trust the police in Medford. Some Domestic Violence vigil planned for November 25, 2019 with the past history of the Medford police force - Stephen Lebert's multiple transgressions, allegations of spousal abuse by Shawn Hughes, allegations of the late Greg Hudson abusing his wife, officer Jimmy Lee rearranging his girlfriend's face (behind the back of his wife and kids,) and the police are going to have a Domestic Violence Vigil without being upfront to the residents.
That's like a past city council voting for Robert A. Maiocco to be president without knowing Maiocco's history at Wells Fargo, not a very enlightened vote and Mr. Maiocco not being very forthcoming. Then there's the vicious attack by Edward P. Finn, former clerk, on my person, which the police refused to investigate properly, then - after claiming it never happened - the police used the vicious assault to file fraudulent charges against the victim, pure police harassment against an innocent man.

And city officials all too willing to be part of the conspiracy.

1)To find the video of you and the chief discussing whether or not people in Medford fear the police I had to do a number of Google searches
to no avail.
The video of the October 1, 2019 video should be of great public interest. I finally went to the new (and poorly designed) MedfordMa.org and figured
to look into Medford Community Media.

How many residents just give up when they can't find the video?
And why aren't these city council meetings extremely available, not hidden from the public view ?
A veteran of public access like myself sees this as a quasi form of censorship.

2)Police have to be held to the highest of standards. In Medford it is the residents held to higher than average standards - if you publish a blog a Detective Mackowski and Paul Covino will press fraudulent charges on the victim of a violent assault.
Why aren't Mackowski, Covino and their accomplices on trial, convicted and sent to prison?

Oh, because Jack Buckley lies and says they are "all good men and women" - engaging in compensation fraud, or breaking the lip of a woman Chief Sacco maligned in the press, Sacco's own son not given a breathalyzer or field sobriety test, yet allegations strong enough to take his gun, his truck, his keys and have some "relative" drive him home.
Dig deeper, if the allegations of drunk driving were true, what led to that? Was there an underlying problem at home allegedly?
Which begs the question: if we know so much about the police and their own violence at the station between cops or domestic violence between officers and their spouses, what do we not know?

So we are supposed to trust police who hold themselves to the lowest of standards with criminal behavior that they get a pass on (look at the bail that Shawn Norton paid, ridiculous, for allegations of drunk driving and hit and run, allegedly.)
You, as mayor, need to change how the police conduct business in Medford.
You, as mayor, know what we face.
The police probably believe that for publishing the truth that I deserved the harassment - stalking by a TV3 station manager, stalking by Julie T. Kelleher of Malden mixed with violence that she posted on the web, the current stalker - and much, much more that will be in legal documents for the city to peruse when the presentment letter is delivered.
No citizen should be a punching bag because maybe Medford cops are tired of beating up their wives and girlfriends and want to gay bash a senior citizen.
I have much to offer this city. Mayor Lungo-Koehn made a promise to hire the people with skills.
So when I see - all due respect to them - Doug Carr and John Costas on her "transition team" I see the same old same old going on.

Citizens voted for change. My experience with Mr. Costas is that he uses his connections to the city to bolster his own ego. When I brought to the attention of Mr. Costas a very expensive $25,000 - $50,000.00 soundboard that TV3 abandoned behind 40 Canal Street, Costas shrugged his shoulders at his office and said to me "There's lots of government waste."
Really? Mr. Chevalier, John Costas, is more concerned about his ego than helping this city. Yet he's on the new mayor's transition team.
Why, Breanna? It sends a very bad message to those of us who worked tirelessly to get you elected.

Is Breanna Lungo-Koehn going to just go along with police misconduct, or is she going to show some integrity, passion and real concern for victims of the Medford Police Department.

I did not deserve to be assaulted by Matt Page Lieberman in 2010 at city hall, nor by Ed Finn, just for exercising my First Amendment rights.
Are you going to ignore what they did to me too? I've helped you a LOT more than John Costas over the years...I helped you when they attacked you.
