Arthur Deluca puts the last gasps on Patch, but it is too little, too late for Deluca's lies
"Speaking of 501c3
non-profits, word is that Medford Community Cablevision, Inc. is going
to give the residents a "TV3 Update." We have our crystal ball and will
give you that update in advance, right now, on this blog:
1)The station has been totally off the air since April Fool's Day, on or about April 1, 2013. That's right, today is August 1 and the access station you fund isn't broadcasting anything at all, just color bars and a ridiculous excuse.

2)The station hasn't produced a new show since on or about December 17, 2012, and even that show was tainted: it was not by a member of the public but the former vice president of Medford Community Cablevision, Inc. Membership to the tiny insider's club has its privileges...or had its privileges as eight and a half months have gone by without a new program.

3)The station told the City Council on May 21, 2013 that it has 136 active members, 10 board members and "more programming than ever in the history of TV3." On May 28, 2013 the president of the TV station said the station did not have 10 board members and when pressed on it he said "I wanna say six." Yeah, and I'd like to say a million. So much for not being upfront and honest with the cable TV subscribers footing the bill.

So where is all this programming? Where are all these members? Did the former station manager come back from Rhode Island to produce "136 Invisible Men and Women," (loosely based on H.G. Wells novel The Invisble Man). Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice - to quote George W. Bush "Won't get fooled again." (We aren't mocking the station as much as being outraged at such deceptive business practices being exacted on cable TV subscribers forced to pay into a system that serves a small group of scoundrels.)

The TV station lied to the media and to the city council and to the consumer when it declared that it had to protect a "mysterious" host regarding the pornography aired at an inappropriate hour. Testimony from former members of the station (a once growing group that itself is now a dwindling commodity: you can't have any former members if there are no members to begin with, and that's the way Frank Pilleri likes it) - former members testified that the obscene material aired at 8 PM was generated in-house, was not some mystery producer, and that the station had pulled the wool over the media and the citizens funding TV3. * * * * *
I personally asked Councilor Caraviello on May 21, 2013 to press the station on who the board members were. The Councilor replied "Why? He's just going to lie through his teeth." So why do Medford residents have to endure more lies from a broken TV station that failed to have an election, that has lied to us repeatedly about meeting minutes and financial records with some absurd claim that "they" (whomever "they" are) operate an autonomous corporation. So, does that mean Vice President Ronald Delucia is funding this corporation? Or self-appointed president Francis R. Pilleri, Jr.? Or Malden resident Harvey Alberg? Are they funding the corporation out of their own pockets - a corporation that we residents (along with City Hall Medford) happen to have a stake in? We co-own the equipment and computers and computer programs and none of us can access that equipment. What kind of unethical individuals use other people's monies - public monies - and give evidence of their total incompetence - turn on TV3 right now to see what the incapable Ron DeLucia is providing you for the money you have to pay each and every month.

In Stoneham when the station purchased a building the members still had the opportunity to borrow equipment to tape shows as well as equipment to edit. Why is Stoneham more responsible than Medford when it comes to cable TV subscriber monies? TV3 Medford couldn't purchase a building - it was too busy tying up taxpayer monies in a lawsuit against City Hall for $55,000.00. Interesting that no one in the press ever mentioned that Medford Community Cablevision, Inc. lost the lawsuit it filed, though it tied up the Solicitor's office for a couple or few years over such foolishness.

We've caught the board of directors of MCC TV3 in so many lies that they make Pinnochio look like Honest Abe. But they are profiting from having the ability to use our equipment, they are playing with millions of our dollars and the individual who wants to give a "TV3 update" marched up to City Hall to declare that he engaged in "sloppy bookkeeping" with public monies.

That's when the station wasn't blocking the door to Alden Chambers to keep a resident from leaving - until the police had to come and disperse the 501c3 "non-profit" from yet another instance of harassment of the citizens funding the non-functioning broken access TV station.

If Ronald Delucia, the president of Stoneham's Ark Insurance, an individual who lives a few doors down from Attorney General Martha Coakley on Coolidge Road, if Ronald Delucia cannot bring the meeting minutes, the name of the ten board members, facts on why TV3 had to leave 40 Canal Street (allegedly the alleged court document is sealed), why the board decided not to pay $42,000.00 - its contractual obligation - to the landlord at 5 High Street (TV3's excuse, as usual, is in direct conflict with City Hall's Board of Health), and just wants to come up to the council without the facts and tell more lies, he should be put in a cage in Medford Square and allowed to be held up to public ridicule for a month.

Instead of teaching classes in a conference room at the Medford Public Library, which a normal access station would do while moving to its 5th location in ten years (TV3 claims it is only the third location; I have the facts, this is its fifth location in 10 years), Tv3 Medford will threaten a minority woman with a lawsuit, will defame her on a Facebook page and will make your life miserable if you don't shut up and take the hot air Ron Delucia wants to deliver on Tuesday night.

Why should Ron Delucia promote himself as a "money manager" on TV3 when his board told the auditors they can't comprehend simple accounting practices which are standard across the U.S.A. WHY THE COUNCILORS OWE THIS TO US:The Council pays $27,000.00 to each councilor per year; $28,200 for the Vice President and $30,000.00 for the president - that's $135,000.00 for 5 councilors 58,200 for the president and vice president, a cool $193,200.00 total.

We had a council meeting in July and we'll have one on this coming Tuesday in August. Let's hope that our elected officials respect that $193,200.00 and do something effective for the public that they are supposed to serve, something that goes beyond rhetoric and slamming the table to the realm of the tangible I estimate that $193,200.00 divided by 52 equals about $3,715.00 a week. So every week we don't have a council meeting is $3,715.00 that evaporates, just like your public access station. Notice how we are paying about 200K for a City Council that takes the summer off and about $200k annually for a station not broadcasting. The parallels are chilling. That's 400k per year we are spending with little return on investment. Heck, I don't even work at Wells Fargo and can come up with that conclusion.

The City Council president can no longer point at the Corner Office and blame the Mayor. The City Council president needs to PRESSURE THE MAYOR on behalf of his constituents. Without fear that the Mayor will fire the council president's wife from working in the school system.

The City Council needs to put the Mayor on the spot this election year and demand he pull the plug on a non-profit that isn't just a little out of bounds, it is pure insanity which has turned the harassment of Medford residents into a cottage industry.

Fascinating, Bill, that Mr. DeLuca asserts things as if he is a lawyer. 1)I used the word "allegedly," Mr. DeLuca says "Joe knows" which is a distraction that Mr. DeLuca is quite efficient with. Based on information and belief there is an allegation that the TV3 president had a falling out at 40 Canal Street. All we know is that a)They are not at Canal St., 85 Geo P. Hassett Dr and 5 High Street, the last 3 facilities where they broadcast from - and allegedly - they can't go back to any of them. 2)A source gave me information that I believe; Mr. DeLuca has not refuted that information: why did they leave 40 Canal St (I was told in 2002 that the "building would be razed" - this by the station president; two facts exist: the building was not razed, and TV3 is STILL not on the air; Now to Mr. DeLuca's other absurd point and distraction: It is NOT just a handful of my "friends" - TV 3 has engaged in a bullying designed to frighten away those who speak up. In the history of Medford there has never been a spectacle such as October 29, 2008 when dozens and dozens of people came out to speak about TV3 - except for a majority of the TV3 board - including Mr. DeLuca would rather hide in the shadows than speak up to the citizens who deserve transparency. That fact alone destroys any credibility he thinks he has. What other non-profit has had scrutiny in Alden Chambers like this in Medford's history. THEN, the City Solicitor had to bring in a police detail because of threats against citizens. So, Mr. DeLuca claims - wrongfully - that it is a "handful of people" when 10 times the actual "board" came out to speak out against TV3; most of those people suffering slings and arrows after they showed the courage to speak out. There are lots of people against TV3, no one supporting TV3 except MCC TV3. Now, onto the rules a 501c3 must abide by in a political campaign. City Clerk Ed Finn sent those rules out to the Council AFTER I put it on the agenda. The rule is clear: no one INDIRECTLY or DIRECTLY involved with the station. There are no real "members" of TV3 producing programming on a regular basis. The people writing blogs and broadcasting (when they can) are the same people DIRECTLY involved with MCC TV3. These aren't "members" - which would be ok; these are staff and independent contractors reading the talking points of the board of directors of TV3. That is exactly who it is. Note when the board of directors goes on the attack at a City Council meeting skewering politicians (in my opinion, a direct violation) it is the same rhetoric the "members" (actually, staff - direct payroll staff and independent contractors getting paid with our monies) who are doing the dirty deeds. It isn't the Monday night host (a former Vice President of TV3) or his producer, the only 2 visible members of TV3; it isn't me and it isn't you, dear public. It is TV3 violating the rules governing a 501c3 regarding political speech. Because of the lack of manpower at the agencies governing non-profits, many, many non-profits get away with nonsense, however, eventually, many get caught. Let's hope this is the case this election cycle IF MCC TV3 is, in fact, in violation. Medford Community Cablevision, Inc. is the corporation throwing the "mud" (I'll use a euphemism here). Mr. DeLuca has no credibility - the Rumley report of February 10, 2008 noted that three board members were being paid WHILE being on the board of directors, yet there are no meeting minutes to declare if they voted on being paid. If you are going to pay board members, like Mr. DeLuca, be responsible enough to have meeting minutes that are transparent and let the public know if public monies are being handled in an appropriate fashion. TV3 is the entity making up the rules and not abiding by Robert's Rules of Order. So we have a board member found to have participated in a board that ignores guidelines (Robert's Rules of Order) that other entities, including the City Council, abide by. Interesting that Mr. DeLuca didn't answer specific questions raised in the above essay, only tried to throw mud and distract and try to put words in my mouth. These are my words and I stand by them. Arthur DeLuca has requested tio make clarifications
relative to some of the facts asserted in this blog.
According to DeLuca, "there are no sealed court documents on this, no
court case at all involved. The City knows why we left and Joe knows
this as well. He's been told by me several times and if he's bothered to
ask the City though one of his Public records Requests, he knows from
them too. Nothing shady or suspect at all with why we left. If you need
to know, I'll write it for you. Just is just throwing shit up on his
blog, shit that siunds official and is designed to make us look bad. Joe
acts as if the whole City is screaming touse TV3 to talk about the
election. It's just himself and a few friends of his. In fact he claims
th eboard can't talk politics because the corporation is a 501C3 (it is,
but that just stops the corporation from talking politics, members can
do what they want). When someone joins TV3 (as they must to use it) they
are actually joining the 501C3; that's how the contract is set up. So
"all these people" who he claims are being kept off TV3. would be
members of the 501C3 just as the board is. They would be no more able to
make political statements than the board would. If the board can't do
it, then neither can any of the other members. yet Joe thinks there are
two sets of rules."
