Petition calls for Beacon school chief's removal

A parent in the Beacon City School District has filed a petition with the state Education Department, asking for the board to remove the superintendent from her spot.
The petition, filed by Melissa Rutkoske “on behalf of many concerned parents” in Beacon, also calls for the state to investigate the district and for the school board to remove their attorney and hire a new law firm.
