When the Police FAIL to FULLY investigate a Case Because the Victim has Criticized the Police Department

MEDFORD INFORMATION CENTRAL and its brother publication Community Media Medford are both registered businesses in the city of Medford, Massachusetts.

Our investigative reporting knocked out the highly suspicious Robert A. Maiocco, put a spotlight on the stupidity and shady activities of Paul A. Camuso, Maiocco's nephew-by-marriage, and removed the former mayor's uncle from sitting on the board of the Medford Housing Authority, leading to the exit of allegedly crooked Bob Covelle, brother-in-law of crooked Sheriff Jimmy DiPaola, whose allegedly crooked sister handled his campaign finances

Because we could not ignore criminal acts by ex officer Stephen LeBert, current officer Shawn Norton and current officer Jimmy Lee, the police force appear to have intentionally scuttled investigations into TV3 (probably per order of Mayor McGlynn) and still have not held the fraud board of directors accountable, a board assembled under an allegedly perjured document filed with the Secretary of State's office.

So much for PUBLIC SAFETY under that ultimate fraud Police "Chief" Leo A. Sacco, Jr.

SO when a stalker harassed a victim for 17 months, where were the police?

When a different stalker, a juvenile delinquent from TV3, committed malicious destruction of property, where were the police?

Nowhere to be found, as slimy ex Mayor McGlynn paraded in a Comcast video with the fraud puppet that fraud board propped up, a nutcase mental egomaniac with zero talent and delusions of grandeur.   He sued this editor, was counter-sued (probably because the idiot pulled the wrong court papers allowing for a counter-suit,) defaulted and then had to sign an agreement to STAY AWAY from my home and even from Tony's Gas Station.

We've got to look at the surveillance footage and see if that imbecile violated the court agreement.  He's the type that would.

But our main focus is the allegedly intentional negligence of the Medford, Massachusetts police department:

Can the police be sued for improperly investigating a domestic violence claim?

Many states have laws that place specific duties on law enforcement officers who investigate allegations of domestic violence. State laws also protect officers who perform domestic violence investigations from being charged with a crime or being sued by suspects, victims, or witnesses. Although state legislatures have created laws giving officers immunity from civil suits and criminal charges, the protections provided by these statutes are not absolute. As explained below, law enforcement may be subject to civil suits and criminal charges under certain circumstances.

Duty to Arrest

While police officers frequently arrest persons suspected of committing crimes, not every offense requires the arrest of the suspect. The law varies from state to state, but for minor offenses officers may have the discretion to issue a written citation to a suspect in lieu of arrest.
