WHAT A GUY, THAT COACH OF THE YEAR.

HIS TEAM FALLS AND HE CALLS IT A 'PITCHER'S DUEL" BLAMING HIS PITCHER AND HITTERS AND ACCEPTING NO PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE DEFEAT.

A grown man lets the young girls take a hit for his own alleged ineptitude, and now he's Coach of the Year after LOSING.

Loser Dempsey is more like it.

Division One Coach of the Year and Medford High softball falls to Lexington in D1 North Semifinals - but Coach Dempsey appears to put blame on the players, not himself for the defeat! Shameful.

MELROSE

It took an ace to beat an ace, and Maggie Oram was certainly up for the task. The Lexington fireballer brought the heat as the fifth ranked Minutemen softball team stopped fourth rated Medford, 2-1, in the Division 1 North Semifinals, June 7.

(Then Dempsey Blames His Star Pitcher instead of himself - ed)
“We lost in a pitchers duel,” said Medford softball coach Jack Dempsey.

“I believe that was the turning of the game,” said Dempsey. “(Especially) with the heart of our batting order coming to bat and our two best base runners on board.”
