If you couldn't answer the question, (and honestly, I didn't know their three names until I looked - and we all know how politically active I am,) then it proves my point. Powerful individuals controlling city government like Julius Caesar (or Saddam Hussein, take your pick) have control over your money, your time, your homes, your life.
It is too much power, especially when in Medford, Massachusetts we have been under a dictatorship with NO PUBLIC ACCESS TV and NO SPEECH ALLOWED, with a dirty City Solicitor who will say something like this to a retired judge, lying through his teeth, forked tongue in all its glory:
“The one sentiment that I have heard that I take great exception to is that the city is trying to limit speech,” said Rumley. “The notion the city would censor or squelch free speech is baseless and as city solicitor I would find any such effort repugnant.”

He is a dishonest man who:
a)used a taxpayer funded e mail on a Catholic church website until this magazine forced him to use a Gmail account
In return the solicitor, twice, on the witness stand, called this popular blog "delusional" and allegedly claimed that no one reads it. Would that be perjury given the 1,237,795 page views at 2:51 pm

c)Mr. Rumley helped his late brother's best friend - the city lawyer giving LEGAL ADVICE to the OPPOSING COUNSEL lawyer when I personally trapped the lawyer with his own question, and Judge Timothy Gailey throwing the opposing council/ lawyer off the case - the judge RAISING HIS VOICE and near-yelling stating "YOU KNEW YOU WERE CONFLICTED WHEN YOU TOOK THESE CASES."
Was it a CONFLICT for the City Attorney for the City of Medford to HURT a Medford resident by GIVING FREE LEGAL ADVICE to his late brother's best friend, to impede "justice," to hurt the cable television of Medford and the guy fighting for citizen rights, the city lawyer helping the lawyer for a 501c3 and having the family connection so obvious.
There should be no statute of limitations on such ethical lapses. But that's what the city of Medford's lawyer did, he was under subpoena from the victim, and he aided and abetted the lawyer who was "opposing counsel," and also - key - the best friend of Rumley's late brother.
Essentially, Rumley SQUELCHED free speech by helping those who were DISCRIMINATING AND CENSORING THE CITIZENS while the Mayor was HOARDING the public access franchise fees.
Do the math, Medford.

Mr. Rumley was a witness, under subpoena from me, in a case in Cambridge District Court. During the trial I had the attorney - opposing counsel - thrown off of the case by the judge. TV3 - Frank Pilleri, Arthur DeLuca and others, were running around the courtroom like chickens with their heads cut off; don't believe the garbage TV3 was issuing about the phony trials where the MCC board used approximately $100,000.00 to sue residents, including this editor, designed to silence us.
(In a separate matter regarding these two particular cases, the Judge, Sabita Singh, found MCCTV3 and Mr. Pilleri had violated the Anti-SLAPP law three times; Pilleri never fessed up to that, or that he completely lost a case where he sued me for allegedly wrecking his marriage. Think about it.
Mayor McGlynn ALLOWED this abuse of the access television funds because McGlynn and Pilleri allegedly knew each other for many, many years, and McGlynn LOVES censorship.)

Mayors have too much power and little oversight. Our elections are flawed, so flawed individuals can sometimes manipulate the system and get through the cracks.
The crisis in Medford and the surrounding communities of Somerville and Malden, have individuals who make their own rules, in the opinion of this writer, and have their own best interests front and center, not the best interests of the public.
Stephanie Muccini-Burke and Mike McGlynn - her alleged mob boss - are two individuals with distinct Personality Defects.
I do not know Christenson and Curtatone from Malden and Somerville, respectively, as well as I know Muccini-Burke and McGlynn, of course, so our focus is on the two Medford mayors who have controlled the city for the better part of 32 years under the ugly Plan A government.
