Work in Progress Part II

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Imagine going into court on a speeding ticket and one of the 27 police officers is in the courtroom accusing you?  A friend asked
"What good are they to the department now?"

Chief Buckley - 1:38 in on video "Well, this does border on public  trust...the impression it gives..."

"Border," Jack?   Border on?   IT IS ALL ABOUT PUBLIC TRUST

Mayor Stephanie Muccini-Burke "The trust of the people is the most important thing"  1:45 in video.
see Buckley/Burke video on Channel 7 here: https://whdh.com/news/20-medford-police-officers-suspended-after-investigation-into-detail-pay-violations/?fbclid=IwAR2Mz6YYRZXHEHO7ziNoH_Jg2JV5ZheK_MxagMJqrOqUunB1kiEfKbOCiFs

Reasons not to trust Muccini-Burke or her City Solicitor:
There are allegations Muccini-Burke covered up a teacher/student affair at the high school sometime in 2015 when she was running for mayor.  The alleged teacher was a varsity coach, the 17 year old woman alleged to be Burke's own daughter. So much for the public trust, Stephanie.  No one in their right mind would trust Stephanie Muccini-Burke.  Didn't she try to cover up the gun clip at the McGlynn school?  Didn't Mayor Burke in the past decade allegedly have a qualified black athlete removed from an all-star game for her unqualified son?   Isn't her husband - Brian Burke, court clerk - the individual that violated the canon of ethics calling a videographer a "motherfucker" at the Chevalier Theater October 15, 2015 in front of dozens of witnesses?  Isn't Mrs. Stephanie "Public Trust" Burke the woman who gave the finger to the firefighters allegedly at Mark Rumley's son's wedding?  Isn't Mrs. Burke the mayor who laughed at a Paul Donato sex stunt at the high school in front of two little children and a 15 year old student?  (see photo attached) Isn't Mrs. Burke the mayor who wants a CORI check on access TV producers so that she can see the backgrounds of some candidates running for elected office?

And you think Donald Trump looking for dirt on Joe Biden is bad.  Stephanie Trumps Trump.  And now we have an even BIGGER scandal with 45 cops investigated, 15 exonerated, 27 disciplined or suspended, that's a total of 42.  What about the other 3 missing in action?

Channel 7's airing of the Mayor Burke/Chief Buckley/Solicitor Rumley press conference was telling  - 9:18 pm Channel 7, 9-26-19, especially in light of the gun magazine found at the McGlynn School and Mayor Burke's mishandling of that.

Chief Buckley of the Medford Police Department looked as befuddled as the acting DNI Joseph Maguire speaking to Congress, both events - Buckley and Maguire - televised yesterday for the world to see.  This is a big strike against Buckley's ability to lead, and his body language said it all.

"I can't explain it, it's a lapse of judgment, maybe."  Awful, Chief Jack. You're sounding like ex-chief Leo A. Sacco Jr.'s indefensible protection of disgraced cop Stephen Lebert's perpetual thug behavior, and that's a bad path to take.

Perhaps we need a police chief from OUTSIDE of Medford along with a new mayor.

Why is City Council V.P. Breanna Lungo-Koehn so silent on this?  After all, Lungo-Koehn brought the magazine clip at the McGlynn school to the public, putting egg all over Mayor Stephanie Burke's face, in a BIG way.  You think other bad things weren't going on within the department when there was an obvious cover-up of the magazine at the McGlynn school?

Cradock Bridge Project between February and April of 2018.

The irresponsible behavior of Mayor Burke was exactly in April of 2018, contemporaneous with the Cradock Bridge alleged malfeasance

Medford Patch: "According to the report, a cleaning crew found the loaded magazine in the auditorium Dec. 29 (2017) and gave it to McGlynn custodian Daniel Tully, who put it in Edwards' office. Sometime between that day and 3 a.m. on Jan. 1, it was either lost or thrown out."   April 27, 2018  2:58 pm ET  By Alex Newman, Patch Staff

City Solicitor Mark E. Rumley states in the news item that they became aware of this "Late May, early June" - this from a city lawyer who put his taxpayer funded e mail on the Immaculate Conception church site; who allegedly moonlighted at Somerville District Court as a bill collector for credit card companies on Thursday.  So what's the difference between Rumley allegedly moonlighting for cash and these 27 officers allegedly taking the cash?  It's how business is done in Medford, until they get caught.

Mr. Rumley appointed himself the investigator of the board of directors that he sat on, Medford Community Cablevision, Inc., extended the demand for his own former board to turn over financial information, and then deep-sixed his investigation (sure, because it could have impacted him,) and threw it to the Attorney General's office, where it's been dormant since 2013, six years ago.  A LOT more money was involved in the TV3 scandal, a LOT more than the 27 officers accused, we are talking over a hundred thousand dollars in question with TV3, and Rumley has the unmitigated gall to go on Channel 7 from the news conference when his conduct makes those involved in this new police scandal look like a bunch of boy scouts.

Oh, and didn't Rumley say something about his investigation being something the A.G. wasn't looking into.  What has changed since Gerry Clemente and Thomas K. Doherty's huge bank robbery at Depositors Trust Memorial Day weekend May 1980?  Nothing.

May 1980 - the bank robbery
Sept. 2016 - Rumley thrown off the witness stand by Judge Yee for testimony the judge deemed "irrelevant"
April 2018 - Patch report on the gun clip from December 2017
May 2018 - the Cradock Bridge
May 2019 - Rumley becomes "aware" of it.

Tell me, what has changed since the robbery at the Depositors Trust?    NOTHING!

Channel 5 investigating ex-Chief Sacco's son for alleged drunk driving in January of 2017
Detective Mackowski and Officer Paul Covino's scam false charges against a reporter, January 2017
The police lost in criminal court on January 31, 2017, and equally important, ex city clerk Ed Finn snubbed a subpoena to appear
at that criminal trial.  Finn assaulted - verbally and physically - a reporter; Finn then lied to the police, as did City Council President Richard F. Caraviello who falsely claimed he was a "witness" and that he was "intimidated."

These crimes against the people are what Medford is all about.   A city clerk physically assaulting a resident after a city council meeting on or about June 16, 2015, ex police chief Sacco telling the victim on or about October 17, 2017 "You get the police service you deserve," and the fish rots from the head, people, the fish rots from the head.  The 27 officers were just doing business the way they see business conducted in Medford.

You can't have a quarter of a police force misbehaving if they didn't watch a pattern emerging before them, be it allegations Captain Alan Doherty getting paid 200k and allegedly not showing up for work, or a cop assaulting another cop in the police station itself, allegedly, and a long history of bad conduct from late officer Greg Hudson - 2011 and 1999.

Mar 4, 2011 - The mayor of Medford has suspended Police Officer Gregory M. Hudson for nine months without pay, six months after the officer was arrested Aug. 20 during a sting operation in Lynn for soliciting a prostitute, city solicitor Mark Rumley said yesterday. In a phone interview, Rumley ...
This was not Hudson’s first offense. In 1999, he was charged with assault and battery after his wife called 911 to report that her husband choked her. She suffered bruises to the neck but refused medical treatment, an official said at the time. The two divorced in 2005, records show.
Hudson was suspended from the Medford Police Department with pay, pending an investigation into the assault charge.
According to payroll records supplied to the Globe, Hudson earned $94,257 in fiscal 2010.

Shawn Hughes  2007
FOX Undercover: Armed and Dangerous?
In 2007, a Medford police officer was charged with assault and battery after a fight with his wife. The case went to court and Officer Shawn Hughes admitted to sufficient facts. He’s on probation now, after the judge ordered all weapons removed from his home. But Shawn Hughes is still an active duty police officer, and still carries a gun. FOX25's Mike Beaudet reports.    A comment from the public:
just the obvious double standards when it comes to LEO's vs. us regular guys SOMETIMES
i'll assume he's still "carrying on the badge" were the average joe would have his FID / LTC revoked.

Ex City Clerk Edward P.  Finn's felonious action against a senior was the second time I was assaulted at the council; the first time was by Matthew Page Lieberman and the police determined that I was the sole victim. It was front page news in the Medford Transcript.
