P.S. to Public Records Request

 1,437,315 @ 10:49 am

P.S. I am not being vague, I am being quite clear.

After the Nov. 26, 2010 passing of Sheriff Jimmy DiPaola the city was rife with rumors that shredding was going on.

As a reporter I expect you to waive any fees.

Given that city government under McGlynn and Burke has failed to properly respond to many of my FOIA requests,  and given the gravity of the situation - it is my hope that Breanna Lungo-Koehn will keep an eye on this, contact the state police and/or the FBI, and ensure that Medford property not be molested by the current highly suspicious administration.

Thank you
Joe Viglione

Re: Massachusetts Public Records Request

Dear Attorney Scanlon:
This is a request under the Massachusetts Public Records Law (M. G. L. Chapter 66, Section 10). I am requesting that I be provided a copy of the following records:

Any and all documents that Stephanie Muccini-Burke and/or Michael J. McGlynn and/or Mark E. Rumley may want to shred to keep from the public now that Muccini-Burke and - by extension - Mike McGlynn, have lost the election.

Word is that Mike McGlynn is on his way to city hall with a commercial grade paper shredder, allegedly.

These are public documents and should not be destroyed, if the allegation is true.

I will be contacting the authorities and alerting them to this allegation.

The Board of Bar Overseers and other agencies may also be contacted if I do not get documents that City Hall may be intentionally shredding, allegedly.

I am quite clear about the documents the citizens want.
I recognize that you may charge reasonable costs for copies, as well as for personnel time needed to comply with this request.  As a member of the media there is huge public interest in this material, so I ask that you waive all fees.

My blog/news magazine at 10:49 am is getting huge page views:

There is great public interest in this transition of power.  ALL DOCUMENTS MUST BE SAVED, no matter how damaging to the two former administrations.
The Public Records Law requires you to provide me with a written response within 10 business days. If you cannot comply with my request, you are statutorily required to provide an explanation in writing.
Sincerely,

Joe Viglione
