Dear Boston Globe,

Are you sure the article in question - Dewey, Cheetham & Howe - isn't about

the fellow in the subscription department who beats up elder readers on the phone?

We have until October 23, 2023 to get our claims in.

As the neighborhood changes, Harvard Square’s ‘Dewey, Cheetham & Howe’ window lives on

In 1992, the creators of "Car Talk" leased an office space overlooking Harvard square; set up a table and a handful of folding chairs; and established the radio show's global headquarters. Among the first orders of business was cracking a good joke. For its window, they hired someone to install authentic gold-leaf lettering like you’d find outside a respectable law firm. But instead of using their own names they had a lawyer pun spelled out: “Dewey, Cheetham & Howe.” Read the full story.
