Viglione Prevails Again On Appeal vs Medford City Hall Mayor Lungo-Koehn's Total and Absolute Lack of Transparency https://medfordinformationcentral.blogspot.com/2023/09/viglione-prevails-again-on-appeal-vs.html

Thank you, Mr. Gottfredsen

Yes, the city does not usually charge me as I am
a journalist (approximately 5,000 articles for
AllMusic.com, quoted in NY Times, Boston Globe, etc.)

The mayor, Breanna Lungo Koehn, is actually running
on "transparency" when she maliciously requests a CORI
check on your grandma to bake cookies on public access
television.

Charging me that much money (I live in senior housing)
is ridiculous, and simply more evidence that the "transparency"
that this administration offers, is a lie.

The public interest is great in these matters, and where
the city of Everett has three newspapers - available in
stores and on the internet, Medford has no sunshine, no
newspapers, allowing city hall to be as non-transparent
as possible.

State Rep Donato calls political speech "the most protected
right."  City Hall doesn't want the public to know anything.

Just the fact that I have to file public records requests, and appeals,
is evidence that this mayor running on "transparency" mocks your
office as well as the citizens.  They forget that they are elected to
serve the public.

I am outraged when they've given me - and by extension the public -
information with no fee, and now, during an election cycle, they
want to hide everything.

Thank you

Joe Viglione

Good morning Mr. Viglione,

In an email to this office on August 31st, you mentioned
you might “work something out” with the City
regarding its August 11th fee estimate.
Could you please confirm whether you would like our office
to continue with the appeal of the City’s August
11th fee estimate?
I have attached the relevant communications for your reference.

Please note that a determination letter is due from our office by tomorrow.

Thank you,

Jeff Gottfredsen
