In an election and the criminal complaint issued by the police is still pending, purportedly, at Somerville District Court
Mr. Knight is accused of smashing a bank door on April Fool's day and fleeing the scene of the alleged crime at a
"high rate of speed."  Enquiring minds want to know if his two kids were in the car but the cops, after being
generous with my first public records request, have clammed up on Adam...the ghost of Charlie Shannon is disgusted.

Publisher Larry Flynt provoked a lawsuit for damages for satirizing televangelist Jerry Falwell in a fake Campari ad in Hustler magazine.
The U.S. Supreme Court unanimously agreed in Hustler v. Falwell, 485 U.S. 46 (1988), that a parody, which no reasonable person expected to be true,
was protected free speech. The justices also stated that upholding the lower courts' decisions would put all political satire at risk.
Alan Isaacman defended Flynt before eight justices, as Justice Anthony Kennedy recused himself.
Flynt (in wheelchair) is isolated due to an outburst during a previous Supreme Court appearance in another libel case.

 Hong Kong (CNN Business)The media company behind the now-shuttered Hong Kong tabloid Apple Daily is shutting down after its entire board resigned, citing "a climate of fear" over the city's controversial national security law.

Next Digital, which was founded by now-imprisoned tycoon Jimmy Lai, said in a stock exchange filing Sunday that its remaining four directors would step down, to best "protect shareholders, creditors, employees and former employees." The directors are Chairman Ip Yut Kin, Louis Gordon Crovitz, Mark Lambert Clifford and Lam Chung Yan.
It also said it was seeking a liquidation of the company's assets, but hoped Apple Daily may live on in Taiwan, where it still has an online edition, under new owners.
The company noted that Next Digital's shares had already been suspended from trading in June. That's when top Apple Daily executives and editors were arrested in Hong Kong for allegedly violating the national security law. The law bans any activity Beijing deems to constitute sedition, secession and subversion, and allows Chinese state security to operate in the territory.
