Voters
in Medford have to deal with one of the most expensive city councils in
the Commonwealth. It pays about 30K a year and now 19 people are
vying for the position (unless someone didn't file their papers on
today's deadline, July 14 with the paper indicating 5 PM (though City
Hall closes at 4:30 on Tuesdays, doesn't it?)
19 people want that thirty thousand dollar paycheck.
The
voters are at a disadvantage because Michael McGlynn has crafted a
deceptive bit of legerdemain with his "henchmen" as Councilor Marks
calls them, the Mystic River two-step, no access tv, paint crosswalks at
election time, control the media, cast aspersions on any media person
telling the truth, filing public records requests, getting the
information out to the public.
Suddenly,
from out of nowhere, new candidates show up at the city council as
Jeanne Martin did last election. Ms. Martin bought three new suits,
launched her campaign with brilliant moves (all from my think tank in a
meeting at her home on a Saturday night for a few hours) and then went
haywire like some kind of robot with a short circuit.
Her
slogan "Public Safety First" was my idea; the website she utilized came
from me, it was a rock solid plan that Jeanne couldn't execute
properly.
Why?
For
Jeanne Martin, it was ego. "I'm going to win this thing" she would say
to me excitedly on the phone. My reply: "Don't be so overconfident;
you're the underdog, you have to stay humble." Jeanne didn't like
that, in fact my perspective is that she got very, very angry with me
for speaking logically:
a)if 3,000 people even watch the city council, it isn't 57,000
b)just because they see you on TV doesn't mean you have their vote
c)it's not about you, it's about public service
Rather
than accept the advice she just took my ideas, and decided to throw the
guy she took the ideas from under the bus. It was quite remarkable,
actually, to see the metamorphosis, perhaps Jeanne borrowed Mark
Rumley's Jekyll and Hyde potion - which the O'Jays warned us about "They smile in your face) All the time they want to take your place The back stabbers."
You want our Thirty Thousand Dollars a year?
When this writer petitions the City Council it is usually with goodies that three on the council do NOT want you to see:
---the Comcast letter from Tim Kelly to Mayor McGlynn
---the LynnCAM lawsuit from the A.G.'s office
---Ruth Balser's bill - she the State Representative (D) for the 12th Middlesex District, which is located in Newton.
---papers
from the public charities division regarding TV3's malfeasance and that
the term "law enforcement" is used in the documents
Council
President Fred Dello Russo Jr. allegedly tearing up Ruth Balser's bill,
after Adam Knight defamed it, was wrongful conduct by two rogue
councilors who take the money and run.
If you people think I'm up there for my health, that I write these e mails because
for
some kind of "attention" you are sadly mistaken. The radio and TV
shows give me all the attention I need for that side of my personality.
My goal is simple and clear: We pay for access TV, where the hell is it?
And
that I come to the battle prepared with FOIA, documents from TV
conventions, radio conventions, my contacts in that world, really
disturbs and riles up useless councilors like Fred Dello Russo Jr., Paul
Camuso and Adam Knight.
I
dare ANYONE to read the petitions and motions from the last year. Look
at the petitions from one resident, Joe Viglione, and read the motions
from Knight, Camuso and Dello Russo. One citizen is bringing
substantial information to the council, while three stooges fail to put
anything of substance on the agenda, for the SIXTY THOUSAND DOLLARS or
so that they get EACH in that two year period.
Which is $180,000.00 to three abusive individuals who are into self-service, not public service.
They smile in your face) All the time they want to take your place The back stabbers
A
candidate reading from an index card or a cellphone at the city council
looking like a deer in the headlights wants to get your vote. Is he
better than Camuso, Dello Excusso and Knight - absolutely. Is he ready
for prime time? No.
Someone who really wants that 30K a year job better damn well be prepared for it.
We,
in Medford, don't even get second best. We get novices who have not
been in elections before (School Committee is an excellent place to
start) or egomaniacs like Erin DiBenedetto who was shell-shocked that
she didn't make the leap from school committee to the seat won by
Christine Barber.
Katherine
Clark was the model that I advised ALL candidates to follow when Clark
was a State Rep. It was the same model that this writer employs - keep
writing about issues, get those writings published, be proactive. Get
on TV. Clark was smart and Clark is now in Congress. DiBenedetto
thought McGlynn was her ticket to paradise. Thank God she was so very
wrong.
Carl
Sciortino failed and Katherine Clark succeeded. Sciortino, like
DiBenedetto and Martha Coakley, all lost their last attempts at elected
office and all three had one thing in common: Michael J. McGlynn was
behind them.
The
close friend of the crooked sheriff James DiPaola, Michael J. McGlynn,
no longer has the magic touch. And boy can they hold a grudge, no
sicut et nos dimittimus debitoribus nostris from that crew!
FORMULA
Step 1: A conflicted City Clerk and City Solicitor need to resign or be removed
How can you have an election when both individuals have not been honest
with the citizens for the 200k or so they are paid, combined, per year?
Step 2 New candidates have to be good at running a city, not just running an election.
When Paul Camuso had Aunty Carol up here, now having her mocha in Boca,
he
had one of the best campaign managers in the city of Medford. How else
could an incompetent buffoon with speech deficiencies and the alleged
(and allegedly sealed?) rap sheet to make one's jaw drop become a
councilor AND work for the Sheriff's department?
Lame duck Camuso and Lame Duck McGlynn are down to their dirty tricks and up to no good.
And their replacements?
Why do we not have SEASONED executives with lots of cash to spend who can speak at a podium and bring details to peruse?
We
currently have some novices who do not prepare themselves for
microphones and public speaking nor arm themselves with the information
that I have forwarded them, the path that I put together for people to
follow.
Knowledge is power. I provide knowledge and get attacked at the city council.
If you're getting the flak you are over the target.
What's
very interesting is that Mayor McGlynn and his henchmen and cronies
have fixated on me when I'm not even running for office. To have all
the hate
from
Mark Rumley, Ed Finn, Paul Camuso, Madam Knight, Freddy Dello
Russo...even the duplicity from a certain city councilor - he buys me an
ice tea at Carroll's one night, I hear of misguided whisper campaigns
about me the next week - shame on you, if true, sir - to have all that
hate against the one guy who put in the proposal to run the access
station, that - my colleagues - is power.
McGlynn's
henchmen can't ignore me, so they assault me. Chief Sacco is in this
correspondence. Chief Sacco knows of the assaults, and to have a victim
mediate with attackers on the advice allegedly of a city solicitor with
very unclean hands is so ugly, so very ugly. The police department
has not protected nor has it served this victim, and Leo, that is on
you. You can't pass the buck back to Rumley or McGlynn as YOU are the
chief, not those two jokers.
Someone gets attacked you do something. You don't sweep it under the rug.
You
don't become cowardly because the big bully McGlynn sent out his thug
to attack some musician, the football player beating up on the
musician. Ed "Tonya Harding" vs Joe Nancy Kerrigan.
That's
your city. You want votes from the voters and 30K a year for what?
Doing the Jeanne Martin babble on at the podium, removing all doubt.
This is a serious election and a McGlynn crony attacked me, followed up by Mark Rumley's childish and immature response.
Medford deserves better.
I'm working to improve life in Medford. Are you?
