This scandal should permanently bounce the shameful Mayor out of office. He can take LeBert with him, and both should leave in disgrace, frog-marched out of their respective departments.

Stephen LeBert should Step Down, Mr. Mayor, and so should you. In Japan the leaders take responsibility for the actions of those under them. You, Mr. Mayor, have failed our community.
Victor Lipman stated in Forbes Magaazine (2/02/15) "One of the hardest but most important aspects of management, or leadership of any kind, is to take full responsibility when things go terribly, inexplicably wrong."
Japanese leaders have accountability when those under them bring shame. Medford is shamed by Detective LeBert's repeated vulgar actions, only now, during an election cycle, they are national news. Mr. McGlynn shows no real remorse in his press release, probably written by one of the city lawyers, and McGlynn is not running for Mayor. A true leader would admit his failings and resign. McGlynn has never displayed in 28 years the quality of a good leader. Do not hold your breath for McGlynn to step down with yet another scandal on McGlynn's resume.

The hard fall of Detective Steve LeBert, a bad cop, a bad egg, is an indication that the problems in Medford city government are systemic. People aren't coming out saying nice things about LeBert (except for Chief Sacco!) - the public has all sorts of ugly stories about Stephen LeBert. One of which is that LeBert allegedly phoned TV3 when yet another citizen was filing a police report on their criminal conduct when the city was ripped off by those fiends at the private access TV station.

John Byers said that he spoke to the detective, LeBert, a few months ago in West Medford relating to LeBert the horrifying "G" Spot episode of ZAPP TV, where twice-arrested Gary Zappelli, in 2005, used a sports host to allegedly ask a sexually provocative question about women.

Detective LeBert allegedly is close friends with the disgraced Zappelli.

Zappelli, of course, being the miscreant that he is, has repeatedly denied what he did to a special needs person. LeBert, an officer of the law, should have read the riot act to Zappelli and demanded that Zappelli apologize to the autistic man that he victimized.

That's what a real man would do, an officer of the law, not the disgraced sissy everyone saw on television last night when the bully, LeBert, refused to be honest with the news media asking for him to speak to the public. LeBert owes it to the taxpayers and residents to apologize profusely for what we all saw on tape. But like the weasel LeBert is, the "hood" LeBert ran away...the coward, Stephen Lebert, (hopefully soon to be EX Detective) just ran like a little crybaby from the news media. No longer the big thug saying he will blow someone's fxxxkxxxng brains out and put a hole in a man's head.

known within the community as a hot head. He has two video's now
showing him to be a hot head. Bet is if there are two recorded
incidents like this, there are many more unrecorded events of this exact

Medford Police Officer Indicted on Charges Related to Stoneham Murder Investigation
“This alleged conduct compromises the integrity of our criminal justice system and we will fully prosecute any one who attempts to interfere with an investigation,” Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan said.
The officer allegedly tried to conceal the drug deal that led to the double shooting.

Medford is home to some famous crimes:
- A few crooked officers of the Medford Police and Metropolitan District Commission Police forces pulled off one of the biggest bank robberies and jewel heists in world history in 1980, robbing the Depositors Trust bank over the Memorial Day weekend. The book The Cops Are Robbers: A Convicted Cop's True Story of Police Corruption is based upon this event. Salvatore's Restaurant, located at 55 High Street in Medford Square, is partially in the same location as the bank that was robbed. The private dining room in the restaurant uses the bank's vault door as an entrance way, and the hole in the corner of the ceiling that the robbers crawled through was left intact for nostalgia.
- An admitted Mob execution by Somerville's Irish Winter Hill Gang of Joe Notarangeli took place at the "Pewter Pot" cafe in Medford Square, now called the "Lighthouse Cafe."[21]
- In October 1989, the FBI recorded a Mafia initiation ceremony at a home on Guild St. in Medford.
