It is fascinating to watch uncivilized individuals posting on Patch about their right to the First Amendment and how others should not have a voice. This was exactly the problem with the people not having a voice in election 2013, and some of the individuals who thwarted the opportunity for voters to hear from new candidates are now complaining that "their" choices for council didn't get a fair shake.
It's like the New England Patriots hiring Aaron Hernandez without looking closely into his insidious nature or, and here's what's really going to bake your noodle, not properly policing Hernandez once they purchased the damaged goods.
When the city council is not even aware that the person forcing himself in to the presidency has had problems with "money management" of a huge scale- and just watch that squabble or re-read the impolite nature of one individual obsessed with being our elected leader - it shows that the voters, like the New England Patriots, didn't do their due diligence.
The Patch has proved to be the only forum Medford citizens have where some of the truth is allowed to break through the MMB - the McGlynn Media Blackout. There's a current blog out there very angry that the soon-to-be-retired Council President's problems were made public. They scream about not getting "their" candidates in, yet when one of "their" candidates is found deficient, the blogger calls me up on my cellphone screaming bloody murder that "everyone knew." No, everyone did not know, and according to sources even his council colleagues were in the dark.
What's truly absurd is that the comments applauding that individual are from the main offenders. For City Councilor Paul A. Camuso to not wear a clown suit week after week after week at the council while dishing out his buffoonery is the true hypocrisy at play. Camuso, very tightly aligned with the individual Patch noted was arrested on a charge of a false bomb threat, proclaims that you can't paint the cohorts (which, coincidentally, would be Camuso himself) - with a broad brush.
Here's where the city council rules need to be amended. When a councilor makes a statement like that to mitigate the damage, it is like a bad lawyer acknowledging the defendant is in the deep end and they'd better put a shine on that old sneaker. That individual who was arrested had a long, lengthy history of complaints. Camuso enabled him. The Board of Directors enabled him, but here's the real doozy, Daisy, Mayor McGlynn enabled that person, awarded that person at a school committee with his praise (after that individual showed up in an April 2010 police report as an aggressor with McGlynn accepting a copy of that police report on the very next day, April 28, 2010) and then allowing that individual to get hired by an internet platform where the alleged crime was committed.
Now, Camuso wants to distance himself from the person facing a court date on November 25 in Somerville Court. The woman who posts here frequently with malicious aspersions and lies, tightly aligned with him, living in the same apartment complex (for the most part) as neighbors at both Station Landing and now in Malden/Revere, doesn't want to be brushed with the same broad brush-stroke when we don't even know if she, a neighbor who supported the positions of the accused, might be a co-conspirator.
The insanity of those individuals closely aligned with that person who, as a public figure on a board of directors once upon a time, had complaint after complaint after complaint filed against him with the Mayor, with the City Solicitor, with the police department, and none of those involved did a damn thing to throw the bad apple out before it spoiled the whole bunch.
Well, Mr. Camuso, YOU used the broad brush stroke as a defense to say that only one apple, your apple - the accused - coincidentally, was not indicative of his colleagues. Wow. You want to say that under oath next time?
When Mr. Camuso voted with his colleagues 7=0 to rescind the agreement the city had with a non-profit, Camuso was, suddenly, attacked on the internet by his long-time pal. Reminds me of an incident in the Gospel of Matthew:
"I tell you the truth," Jesus answered, "This very night, before the rooster crows, you will disown me three times." But Peter declared, "Even if I have to die with you, I will never disown you."
Right! So the hypocrisy has moved to the Patch with those individuals now commenting on a blog that clearly is focused on attacking this writer. This is my legitimate response to their illegitimate rant(s).

And here's the key: I'm publishing this under my own name. I don't need to hide behind the mask of anonymity because the purpose of this blog is to find a solution to voter apathy, a solution to the trolls that can't use their real names specifically because of the deeds they have done. They have little credibility as trolls, no credibility if they use their real names.
So the Candidates Night charade is really what the troll poster under an assumed name is really ruffled about. The entire process was fixed, scripted and detrimental to Democracy in Medford. Now some of the extremely lame candidates might have gotten in had the event not been exposed at the City Council and on the Patch and in other venues as it was exposed. A self-absorbed candidate like Neil Osborne talking about himself non-stop with no platform, nothing he would do on your behalf (a discrimination attorney not once mentio ning the racism charge on the front page of the paper is asking for your vote? Not just shocking but downright scandalous!) and sour grapes from one of the perpetrators of the Candidates Night charade because another shill of McGlynn's didn't get in. Oh, and by the way, McGlynn is the "Chair" of Ward 2, so much for objectivity with that huge conflict of interest exposed on Patch.
The individual who published that post about this writer and who doesn't like comments deleted will delete any comment that I write. Now that's double standards. And here is why:
1)He doesn't use his real name, but hides. This post is written with my real name.
2)That individual used the Patch to write a libelous, fictional, delusional post that one of the Patch editors noted was extremely low, before that post was removed. That is why his comments are deleted. We saw his true colors and they were not very pretty.
3)This blog has always maintained that individuals aligned with a now dissolved corporation were not very civil and that their comments are not wanted on my blog. My right as the author. This blog has always stated that anonymous "troll" names are not accepted. You want to yell First Amendment, first show me that a Candidates Night or a non-profit under contract to uphold Free Speech do as the taxpayers/ratepayers deserve and demand, and then we'll talk the Constitution.
In Medford I am a citizen, not a public figure. Just because a new book on the Rolling Stones has a glowing paragraph on me (just released) doesn't make me a public figure in Medford, as part of the definition of public figure or limited public figure means how much access to the press a person has. Clearly, under McGlynn's Media Blackout, many of us are mere citizens with no access to the venues in which to defend ourselves. Only a Patch blog which can be deleted at the discretion of the editor. If I have four record albums out in Paris, that might make me a public figure in Paris, but that's a world away and there are no record shops in Medford selling New Changes or the Intuition Element or Love & Flame, so, a pop/punk singer/songwriter (me) on an international dance label (hey, being label mates with heavy metal band Saxon and Australian group The Church is a good thing!) does not make me a public figure in Medford. The last thing the Mayor wants is a free press.
It is voter apathy that allows the political malaise to set in. Those throwing stones from the shadows, go get the new Stones book. Or better still, when the author comes through these parts I will invite him to be on my show. Public access TV exists, just not currently in the city of Medford. I'm the guy fighting for your right to be on access tv.
Jesus saith unto them, Did ye never read in the scriptures, The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner
Psalm 118:22 The stone which the builders refused is become the head stone of the corner.
1 Peter 2:7 Unto you therefore which believe he is precious: but unto them which be disobedient, the stone which the builders disallowed, the same is made the head of the corner,
Who are you to disagree with sacred scripture?
